Selling to SecondSpin.com ?

Hello. I'm looking to sell some videos to secondspin.com Is it better to send as many at one time? What's cheaper to ship?
THanks!

yes, it would definately be cheaper to send in bulk.

I sold my entire vhs collection to them a year and half ago. It was around 400 tapes, which netted me a little over $800. I had to pack up three big boxes and shipped them UPS which cost me about $80. If you are selling vhs, the shipping is very harsh. From what I can see, Secondspin only gives a buck or two for your tape, so you might as well send as much as you can and try to make a little something.

Definitely ship in bulk. Estimate the weight of your package, and then do an online price comparison between UPS and USPS media mail. UPS shipment will include some insurance coverage, but media mail won't, unless you add that expense. I'd suggest using media mail with delivery confirmation.

I sold SecondSpin over $1,200 worth of mostly vhs stuff about 2 years ago, averaging about $4 each then. It was over a period of several months, usually sending about 30-40 titles at a time. Package them carefully, with good padding around the sides of the box so they don't get damaged in shipment.

I'm not sure if they still buy vhs, but I also sold some stuff to skinnyguy.com. I think their minimum was about 50 titles. You send them a list, they send you a quote, with some compensation for your shipping charge.

Does anyone know will secondspin take used cds?

I have a ton of cds acquired from bmg I want to unload. However, all of them have the "manufactured for bmg" logo on the back. Will secondspin take these cds?

If I remember correctly from when I sold some, they will take BMG cds, as well as cds that have the little hole punched in the UPC bar code. They will not take any that are marked promotional.
