Great business. Have never had problems with them and I've been buying from them since they opened.

The only thing to know is that they won't do priority mail for a pre-order. That annoys me but they do well by me for price and free shipping

The response posted today (in the thread linked in your response) from DeepDiscount would seem to clarify the siiuation being discussed there - apparently there ws no problem, except for someone misintepreting and starting a rumor.

...and the very fact that DeepDiscount responds to concerns expressed here at DVDTalk (as they have done since they opened) is enough to win my support!

Out of wondering, how are they for customs to Canada?
DDDVD has no input as to customs issues. Canada Customs charges the usual $5 parcel handling fee, as well as the provincial and federal taxes (totaling 15%) one would normally pay for purchases here. For small-sized orders from the States (say one or two DVDs), the post office just drops it in the mailbox at no additional cost.

It's nice to see that they did come to tell us directly in the forums as they have done in the past. Their Customer Service has been nothing but stellar and that only furthers the point.
