Another Universe problem - I need a real phone number

To make this as short as possible....Back in August, I bought about a dozen comic books. 2 was unavailable, 1 was backordered. They charged me for the 3 anyway. They wrote "refund" next to the 2 unavailable. I've never received the refund or the back ordered item. They owe me $30.

I've tried using the phone number listed on their site and I get a message that the phone number isn't available in my area (or something like that). I've emailed them several times and they haven't responded. Any suggestions?

Yeah call your credit card company and explain the situation and most will send you a form so they can do a chargeback.

Good luck getting a refund from these guys. They owe a lot of money to a lot of pissed off customers. Forget about any e-mail or phone response. I sent them over a dozen e-mails regarding an order I placed in March 2002, and I got zero responses. They stopped answering their phones back in Late November. You might be able to get ahold of an answering machine, but they don't return calls. You have a much better chance of getting the money back from your credit card company.

You can probably find some kind of contact info at:

You may want to call the California Attorney General's office, and perhaps consider reporting them to the Postal Service for mail fraud.

I had the same trouble with those asshats, and it was only when I started threatening things did they bother to respond to me.
