According to Video Store Magazine, they're part of the same company as Blockbuster. They were previously named DVDRentalCentral.com (which now redirects to the new site). I tried them a few months ago. The selection's not bad, mostly basic stuff, nothing special or hard-to-find. Turn around time is not as good as Netflix, but better than most others. Canceling was very easy and painless. I'd recommend trying out the Free Month, but if you're going to pay for a rental service, stick with Netflix.

Very good selection. Lots of obscure and hard-to-find stuff. But most of it's checked out. I used them for a few months. While I did get some good stuff, most of the items at the top of my rental list were never in stock. Turn-around time is average.

My main problem with Filmcaddy is that there is no indication of what's in or out of stock. During my free trial, they received a return from me, yet 2 days went by without them sending me a new title (I had about 35 titles in my queue). I added a new title to the bottom of my queue and -- sure enough -- it shipped right out.

Apparently, all 35 (!) of my titles were out of stock. But I had no way of know it. No only is the lack of indication annoying, but if all of those titles were unavailable, their "selection" is not as good as it appears.

I agree with the NumberSlate bashing. They must have one copy of each title the carry. I signed up for two week trial and it took 3 days for 1 disc out of 50 in my Q to ship. Now I can't wait to get movie and send it back so I can cancel and forget I've ever heard of them.
