Pre-order titles missing at DVD Empire

Ok, I love DVD Empire and have been buying most of my pre-orders there, especially with the free-shipping on 4+ titles deal and coupons.

I'm getting ready to do my January orders and they don't seem to have two titles I want listed yet: Imitation of Life and Dogfight. I tried emailing them about Imitation of Life on 12/6 but they never responded.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Yes, I have had similar problems with DVDEmpire involving missing titles and pricing errors. At least they replied to my emails but it didn't get any results. I even tried calling and that didn't help.

It took them over a month to finally add the titles I asked about. Also the pricing error (wrong MSRP) was never taken care of until after the DVD was released. I ended up purchasing the DVDs from DDD.

I guess you can keep trying to contact them, and hopefully they will add the missing titles before they are released. But you might want to consider purchasing those titles elsewhere. DVDEmpire is a very good store in almost every way but they are not good at handling questions about their site in regards to inventory or correcting pricing mistakes from my experience.

I'am just fine with their pricing errors and they honored the 2 I got in the past year although one did take about a month after the release date for them to ship it to me but they did ship it by Priority mail instead of cheap way I selected.

I should clarify the pricing errors I was talking about were overpricing DVDs from listing the wrong MSRP. They just didn't seem eager to fix the problem when the error was in their favor. I am sure if it was too low it would have been corrected quickly.

But I was happy that DVDEmpire did honor their misprice of All in the Family season 1 earlier in the year when the MSRP listed was too low. At least they have a good history of honoring pricing errors when it goes against them.
