I guess theres a first time for everything.... I posted on the Bargain forum that they had Plucking the Daisy for 9.58. I found it through Dvdpricesearch on 10/7. Well I got it today and its a VHS TAPE of Plucking the Daisy!!!!

Sheesh, that's a pretty major screwup. DDD only sell DVDs. Where did they even get a VHS tape in their store to put in your package?

That truly is radiculos.
How did they smash a VHS into those little boxes designed to hold a DVD?

I called them up and the guy said it would cost them 5.00 for me to send the VHS tape back to them so I should just keep it. He said they would send it again but after I hung up, I got this feeling that it will probably be another VHS tape. I checked their web site and its listed now as being 21.56 and the item # now is different than whats listed on my email confirmation.

I did print out the page where it was listed for 9.58. Under the title it has Dvd Description and after that it has Dvd Information, etc.

Maybe their B&M store sells VHS and someone screwed up but it seems like they would catch it since I did order it from DeepdiscountDvd. It should be interesting to see what I get.

I just hope the 5, 5.88 DVD titles I ordered last weekend are not VHS.

Isnt DDD a part of Critic's Choice Video? CCV does still sell VHS, maybe they share a warehouse and pulled the wrong format??

You should be thankful that DDD sent you anything at all. Everything I've tried getting from them goes on interminable "backorder."

Just received a shipping notice:

Quantity Previously Quantity
Item # Description Ordered Shipped Backorder Shipped

HVD001585 DVD : PLUCKING THE DAISY
1 1

I just hope its still 9.58 like I ordered it at and they did not charge me the higher price.

Update: They seemed to have removed this title from their site.

Well it took some time. I was charged 21.59 when they shipped the Dvd for second time but they did come through eventually and correct it but they want the tape back now:

10//26/2002

Dear Sir:

We do apologize for the shipping error. DeepDiscountDVD.com is owned by Infinity Resources, Inc. This parent company also owns Critics Choice Video and we share a warehouse. Accidentally the VHS item number was loaded into the website for DeepDiscountDVD. As soon as it was noticed, the item was corrected. This error is a rare instance.

We will honor the VHS price for the DVD for you and have adjusted the price on your account. You should be receiving a refund of the difference in price for $12.01 on your credit card in the next few business days.

We are also sending you a postage paid label for the return of the VHS copy.

We apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused you.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Paula

I had hoped this was fixed from the email DDD sent me. First off they did give a 21.59 charge back and then they charged me 9.58 so all looked good.

Then today another Plucking the Daisy Dvd was in my mail box!!!! I now have 2 dvd's and one Vhs tape of this title. I still have not received the return shipping label they were supposed to send me for the Vhs tape. Not sure if I should send one of the Dvd's back with the Vhs tape, if i ever get a return thing they were supposed to send me.

What is it with you and cowboys?

On the topic of DDD, in the year or so I've been ordering with them, I've never had a problem. Guess either I've been lucky or others have been unlucky.
