Please explain Share The Love

by Amazon. Seen it discussed a lot but never understood it. Please explain..something to do with referring your friends...

It's explained clearly on their website and in the thread in the Bargains forum.

It's essentially a pyramid type plan where you refer items you've ordered to other people directly and they get a 10% discount, and you get credit for every person who uses your offer. I don't know how long it's going to last so take advantage of it if you're going to order a popular item.

I was told by an Amazon rep that you only get credit for the first person that uses your share the love. Everyone gets to use the 10% off, but you only get credit for one person. Also, if your order or the first person that used the share the love, has anything else in it you can't cancel any part of it or the share the love won't be credited to you. I have 250 people on my friends list, and I personally know many of them, so I know that dozens of my share the love has been used. I have 0 for credit so far. Every time I present Amazon with the facts, they present a new wrinkle on why I didn't get the credit this time. It's nice to get the 10% off, I just think the credit part is a scam.
