Amazon - everything "shipping soon"?
I now have 7 orders all in "shipping soon" - some from 5 days ago.
Has anyone had anything SHIPPED in the last 3 days? I'm wondering if it's just my orders and my account.

I think Amazon is having some kind of problem--I placed an order for a few books a few days ago, and despite that I have two credit cards and my Amazon account saved in my account information, they still made me manually enter my card #s again. This wouldn't be so bad, but the little Rolodex card with my Amazon account # is misprinted.

I had the same problem. I have an order that has been "shipping soon" since Saturday. I emailed them about an hour ago and just received a reply apologizing for the delay. It had actually shipped yesterday, and they included the tracking number. It still shows up in my account info as shippng soon.

Your orders probably have shipped. I received an order today that's still listed on the site as "shipping soon".

If you do free mail, they seem not to ship for awhile, like a week or more-- they say this on the site, so nothing's hidden even if it's non-optimal (esp when an order is all "ready in 24" items!!??).
Don't know about higher classes of postage, though.

I'm aware that it takes a while to initiate shipping on the free shipping, but usually once an order enters "shipping soon" status, it changes to "shipped" within a day or two.
Some of these orders have been in shipping soon for 5-6 days.

I just received an email stating that there is a delay in shipping my order(Buffy Season 2-goldbox). They now say that it should be shipped within the next couple of days.

I ordered a CD on july 15th and it was here by the 19th. I used the 5-7 business days. So, there were no problems then.

3 of my 8 shipping notices finally came in. All a day after I received the package.

I'm still missing any kind of notice one way on the other for some books I ordered last Monday. If I don't have them to take to the lake...

My MASH Season 2 order has been stuck in shipping soon for three days. It is part of a free shipping order that is partially being fulfilled now. Also they look like they put all the applied discounts from a coupon and STL on this one title. They even took an STL discount from another item in the order and subtracted it from the total charged.

I received my MASH season 2 today but it's still listed as shipping soon. I consider this problem to be a minor issue with Amazon. At least I didn't lose any discounts and overcharged on my credit card like what commonly happened in the past.

Does anyone's order summary page show an order changing to "shipping soon"? I have an order showing "not shipped yet" that should have been shipped by now (item is available for shipping within 24 hours).

Amazon tracking software isn't working
I received my last order a couple of days ago but Amazon's web site still shows that it hasn't shipped and I received an e-mail that the order was delayed. This is Amazon's reply to my e-mail that their tracking software isn't working and that I didn't want to be double billed:
"Thanks for writing to us at Amazon.com.
Due to a slight glitch in our system, the shipping confirmation e-mail for your recent order was delayed, and was sent some time after your order left our fulfillment center. Please accept our sincere apologies for this error.
I can assure you that there has been only one charge, and one shipment, for these items. You have not been sent a duplicate
shipment.
We appreciate your business and hope that we will see you again soon at Amazon.com."
