How do you make Amazon UK accept your zipcode?

I can't get through the checkout because Amazon UK won't accept my zipcode as the proper "postal code".

What's the magic number sequence I need to add to make my zipcode work?

Anybody?

When I go the the Amazon UK site, all my address and account settings follow over from the USA site, so I'm wondering why yours didn't... When I look at my UK account info, it's just the same as my USA info, and I know I didn't re-enter it all...

Did you get to the UK site from a link on the USA pages while you were logged in? Sorry I don't have a better answer, but I think I've bought several things from the UK store without entering my address at all...

EDIT: As a test I just logged in to Amazon's Canadian store for the first time ever, and sure enough, they all seem to use the same address book... If this is a new address, perhaps you can add it to your book from the USA site, and simply "point to it" on the UK site... Still not an exact answer, but the best I've got...

My zipcode has worked fine on the UK site. Perhaps try logging in to the US site then in the same session follow an international stores link to the UK site. Or rprhaps you're just typing it wrong.

Hi.

Mine started doing that recently too but just from the www.amazon.com part. I successfully went through two orders and my address is already on file I wanted to order something a couple times recently and i cant get through either because it keeps say that the format of my zip code/postal code is wrong. SO I put it in all sorts of different ways but it doesnt make a difference. I dont get it :-(

gues i can't order from them :-)

I would guess their site is looking for a UK Zip Code which is alpha-numeric. Have you tried emailing customer service?
