Amaray Cases - Unusually high shipping?!?
 

I'm looking into purchasing some new amaray cases. After reading through some threads I found myself at inetdvd.com which seems to have a great selection of colors and awesome prices on the cases themselves. But when I get ready to check out, I find myself in disbelief that it costs $7 dollars to ship 8 plastic cases which cost $5.50 themselves.

Does this sound right in the shipping department for those who have shopped here?

Yep there prices on shipping and now the cases is high. All there multi disc cases jumped in price right after i bought a bunch and the shipping is more then the cases.

It's about the same shipping rate for only one or two as well, so it makes sense to place orders of many cases, rather than 1 whenever you need one. I recenlty ordered 6 and shipping was around $5.50 too, which was more than the cases themselves cost.

Yeah, I asked them about that. They said it's a "problem they're working on". Honestly, I just think that's how they make up for the low prices on the cases....

Are there any retail outlets that sell these things? Or is it a forgone conclusion that there are only a couple on-line places to buy them from, and we are at their mercy?
You would think a place like Best Buy would carry these. After all, they carry replacement CD jewel cases.

Also does Sam Goody carry an assortment of colors? And even if they only carry black they are AMARAY?

They ship UPS = higher shipping cost. Your best bet is to order at least 20 or so... Last time I did this the shipping was around $8.50 or so I think... Or, after total cost, about $.90 a case delivered. Buy 20, use em', repeat.

Inet can and will ship your order by USPS if you ask them. Or at least they did on my last order but they wouldn't cut the shipping price. It looks like shipping cost them about $4.50 but they still charged me over $10 for the estimate given for UPS shipping. When I tried to e-mail them for an answer they never reponded.

TAU has a type for sale, maybe email and see if they have others?
