Harry Potter SHIPPED TODAY
To my surprise, I just received my shipping notice from bestbuy.com I pre-ordered it during the $10 GC deal. Bestbuy never shipped anything to me before the offical release date. Has it been moved up? Now I'll just have to wait and see if I'll be getting the GC.

It's probably the fact that Warner sent out the DVD's way early. The Movie Gallery I work at got our shipment of HP in May 16 and we've just had to hide them in the back. I'd suspect everyone else got them in about the same time, allowing for early shipment in order to reach people exactly on the release date.

Amazon sent me an email that they shipped mine on 5/21. I almost fainted.
This is the same company that always used to mail stuff on the street date!! Nice job, Amazon.

Has anyone who ordered from Playcentric had their copy ship? I don't do a lot of pre-orders online, but the two Star Trek: Next Generation sets I got from Playcentric arrived the Friday and Saturday prior to the street dates, respectively. But they have not shipped Harry Potter yet.

I received notification that mine shipped from costco on the 23rd. Damn, No costco's here and I was thinking of going to Dallas on Monday. I hope it arrives by then so I can PU my free movie at a B&M. Just my luck, I will probably have to postpone my trip for a few days........

I GOT IT TODAY!!!!!!!!
Mine shipped on 5/21 from DDD, but as I said earlier, I live in Illinois and that's where DDD is located, so shipping didin't take as long. Now I can have everyone over to watch it this weekend

I'm kicking myself for going with DDD. I could have had it for cheaper and gotten it on the release date going with B&M. Living in Illinois means I get charged with sales tax, and it seems higher than usual at DDD. One would think I would get it sooner than some since I live in the same state as DDD but nope, a week after it shipped, still no Harry Potter.
P.S. This is not an anti-DDD post, just a lament that buying DVDs on-line doesn't really compete with B&M anymore.
