DVDEmpire is lying about my credit card company.

After trying to order some adult dvd's, I was asked to fax my creditcard and bankstatement, because of international creditcard fraud!
I blacked out all but the last 4 digits of the number of my card and faxed.
They told me they did not accept this and I had to fax the card again with all digits visible.
Talking about fraud!
I refused this and canceled.
I ordered again, using my holiday address in Miami, hoping I would not be asked to fax my creditcard but the order was refused because I had forgotten to change my telephone number to my Miami number. I cancelled again.
Third order: I changed the telephone number so what could go wrong!
DVDEmpire then said that my card was declined by the credit card company.
I called my creditcard company: there was nothing wrong!
DvdEmpire said they would try again, again my card was declined.
I called my creditcard company again: I was told that authorization was given already twice, so there was no risk for DVDEmpire and my spending limit was now blocked with twice the amount of the order.
So DVDEmpire is simply lying !
I mailed them that if they do not want my order they should not block the spending limit of my creditcard but still have received no answer after several attempts.

The charge may have been declined because the address you gave does not match the address of your credit card account. That's to prevent someone from stealing your credit card, ordering a bunch of stuff, and having it delivered to them without you knowing it's happening.

I've had problems with this because I get my mail from a P.O. Box, but if I order anything that requires non-USPS shipping, it has to come to my physical address. I finally had to add that address to my card to be able to get the charges to accept.

ditto what Colleen said...

...If you're credit card billing address does not match EXACTLY to the shipping address, most places won't complete the order.

Happened to me a couple times...

Cheers,
Gabe
