Old Best Buy $10 rebate on Dreamcast games problem

In October of 2001, I purchased 2 Dreamcast games (NBA 2K2 and Tennis 2K2) from Best Buy. Both were in their weekly ad, listed at $39.99 with a $10 mail-in rebate (gift card).

The cashier printed out the 2 rebate forms for me, and I filled them out completely and correctly & threw in the UPC codes from the games, and sent them off on time.

At the end of December, I received one $10 rebate card for the NBA 2K2 game. But nothing for Tennis 2K2. So I finally gave them a call today about the other $10 rebate card.

The woman I spoke to told me that the offer specified one rebate per household! I told her that these were 2 different games, and that I had not seen anywhere where it said a customer could only get the rebate on one game. She said my rebate form should have that information, which of course I no longer have.

Did anybody else run into this problem with Best Buy? It seems completely illogical that they'd limit the rebate to one per household in this case. You'd think they'd have wanted to encourage people to buy as many Dreamcast games as possible at that time.
