Criterions at Best Buy?

Has anyone compiled a list of current prices on Criterion at Best Buy b & m?
I went in on 3/9/02 and realized they have totally random pricing on CC DVD's.

Examples:

REBECCA $29.99
NOTORIOUS $27.99
39 STEPS $29.99
RUSHMORE $32.99
CHASING AMY $14.99
CRIES & WHISPERS $19.99

I tried to get the clerk to do a manufacturer search so he could print me out a list
w/ prices, but that didn't go so well.
BestBuy.com doesn't seem to have the same titles as the store ( no Cries & Whispers,
for example) so that didn't help.
There some titles the store doesn't seem to carry at (no listing in their database for
WILD STRAWBERRIES).
Perhaps there is already a thread on this? Or perhaps a friendly Best Buy
employee could post a price list here?

Just curious.

I went into Best Buy today to pick up Sexy Beast and I found In the Mood For Love for 29.99 and The Vanishing for 22.99. I bought In the Mood For Love because there were only two and the price was good and I'm thinking about going back to get the Vanishing tomorrow. They really have an odd record of putting out Critetions. Sometimes you can't find The Rock but you can find Yojimbo or Sullivan's Travels. Here's hoping that they get Rashomon.

Rushmore $3x.99
Chasing Amy $14.99
Do The Right Thing $29.99
The Third Man $29.99
The 39 Steps $29.99
Kwaidan $24.99
Yojimbo $24.99
Sanjuro $24.99
The Hidden Fortress $22.99
Sullivan's Travels $29.99
Armageddon $3x.99
Seven Samurai $32.99
Spartacus $39.99

I'm sure I am forgetting some, but this is pretty accurate.

I picked Armageddon CC up for 27.99 at my local best buy. They do have totally random prices on Criterions from what I can tell.

My local Wal-mart had Armageddon CC for 34.99, heck at 21.99 you could buy it and sell it on ebay and make some cash, that is by far the cheapest I've ever seen it.

The Elite ED disc originally carried a MSRP of $34.98.

Elite knocked the price down to $14.98 recently to coincide with the new AB editions. BB probably just hasn't repriced their Elite discs yet. If they plan on doing so at all. I wonder what the Elite ED would ring up as on the registers -- if the database has the new price.

I once got Time Bandits for 19.99 at Best Buy. They had put the Anchor Bay version price on it by mistake. It rang up as 34.99 but I pointed out the price tag and the cashier fixed it and didn't even notice the 15 dollar difference. I've been hoping to find a deal like this again but no such luck.

you have to work 30 days to get the discount, I work a real job and then work at best buy for 4 hours a week in between my classes just to get the discount. Especially on Recievers and such you get sometimes over 50% off!

For what it's worth, DVDPlanet.com has 35% off most of, if not all, their Criterion titles. I just ordered The Rock CC from them for $25.99+$3 shipping.

Glad to help. I don't know how many Criterions are available, but they have a pretty extensive selection.

Help

As far as Criterions go, I managed to get Robocop & Silence of The Lambs before they went out of print. Does anyone have any idea where I can find a Spinal Tap at a relatiively decent price?
