Wherehouse Trade In - Good or bad?

I have a few Dvd's I want to unload and am looking for revenge of the nerds dvd or Notting Hill UE.

I went over the weekend and they told me they only do this deal on tuesdays.

I heard you recieve a 22.50 credit for 3 dvd's, but I'm wondering how outrageous are their prices.

I saw a PVD Dvd of Bring it on at the counter going for 16.99 and was wondering how crazy their regular priced new dvd's are going for?

Also how is the selection? Will I be able to find those two movies?

Thanks for any info

Bad. Wherehouse's prices are MSRP.

20% off MSRP if you buy 3 DVD's. Plus new releases are usually discounted %15. I agree - not great prices, but you can sometimes get great deals on non-mainstream used titles.

The new "full retail price" policy has made the 3-for-1 deal less attractive, but they do still let you use it towards new releases that are at discount prices.
Today they had "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" ($29.99 list) on sale for $19.99, so I was able to do a 3-for-1 trade for it, since it was priced at less than $24.99
I think this can still be a handy deal sometimes, when trading in titles that aren't worth much in the resale market.

Does Wherehouse accept any three DVDs? I'm looking to unload my copies of Hollow Man, Black Mask, and Replacement Killers. It would be great to be able to get a new release for those. Thanks

Unfortunately, they don't accept just any DVD for their trade-in deal. They obviously won't accept those $2.99 discs some B&M's are carrying. However, I was shocked when their computer refused to accept my Pet Shop of Horrors (anime). The above titles sound benign enough, though, so you shouldn't have any trouble.
