Belle Du Jour delayed
I didn't see anything on the forum about this, but I recieved this note from DVDEMPIRE regarding my pre-order for Belle Du Jour - for anyone who's interested:
Please be advised that Belle Du Jour will be delayed by a couple of days. Disney has just switched to a new duplicating facility and there were some problems with this title. We have been assured however that we will see the product in our warehouse by 1/22, and we will ship it out immediately afterwards thanks

As others have reported getting/receiving notice their copies from other e-tailers, it may be a isolated distribution problem with DVD Empire.

This is a bit OT, but those that got this DVD already -- what can you tell us about it? How is the picture? The commentary? And do the subtitles use italics to separate the dreams from the reality sequences?

True to their word, DVDEMPIRE now has it in stock so I should be receiving it soon. I sure wish that this was a Criterion title to add to their other excellent editions of Luis Bunuel titles. Now all I need is Bunuel's dark and surreal film PHANTOM OF LIBERTY. It's a real mind-blower!

Has anyone recieved their Belle De Jour? I had mine ordered from DVD Planet but now it's on back order... what's the deal, was the release date delayed?

This might be a little too late, but I got mine from DVD Planet last Friday.
However, I am still waiting for my copy of The Young Girls of Rochefort to ship. DVD Planet still has it listed as coming soon, while it doesn't even appear to be up for sale at Amazon.
