Anyone seen Godfather for sale?

some places break the rules and sell new releases before street date. Anyone seen The Godfather Collection for sale yet? Hopefully in B&M so I can buy it this weekend.

Walmart (at least one of them near me) is infamous for breaking street date. I got Independence Day there 10 days before the official release.

Of course, they don't have the best prices until the actual release date.

My suggestion is to wait till 10/9. Best Buy and Circuit City will most certainly have some kind of deal on it.

I saw a bunch of these Friday at Best Buy (Savannah, GA). This isn't something I'm that interested in picking up right now (or can afford at the moment), so I haven't been paying much attention to it. I didn't even realize they had broken the street date until I saw this thread, I just thought it had already been released.

Anyway, if you can't wait, you may want to check your local Best Buy.

Have you already received your set from this site? I've never done business with them but looks like I might start. How are they with pre-orders?

I went to Wal-Mart on Friday and they had 15 copies of The Godfather Collection.

The price was $68.44. I'm gonna pick one up today.

Haven't got it yet but the ratings for the site were 5 stars. 65 bucks!!!!!! C'mon folks! If you pay $68 at some B&M you still gotta add tax to that so now it is over $70. If I gets it Monday or even Friday - big whoop-, I got it, that's all. What's the big freakn' hurry? We've all seen these movies 20 gazillion times. It will come... It will come....

I also ordered French Connection I & II + Stars Wars I all for $108. I am surprised no one else is on to this site.

I think that's one of the best offers yet, b&m or online.

There's also the DVDlair.com offer of getting it at $53.00 (with coupon)but I hesitate since I have no idea how reliable they are. I think I'll stick with Fry's.

That is a good deal.

Sure that's not $69.99? Other B&Ms are around that price.
