Amazon GCs + Coupons
This has been asked before Im sure, but I cant find the answer, so Im asking again. I have a promotional Amazon GC for $25 that I have been planning to use toward getting the first two Alien movies. Then I saw that the price for the box set was a lot lower than I thought, and I saw that I could buy the box set with the GC and the $10 off of $65 coupon and it would be around $34. BUT, apparently I cant use a coupon with a promo GC, is that right? I know I did this before with a $15 GC, but I dont know if it was promo or not...I just know that I received it through a "promo", so I would think it would be.
Hmmm...could I use my promo GC to purchase a non-promo GC for a "friend"? Then have the "friend" use the non-promo GC with the coupon? Just a thought, thank you and have a nice day :D |
The difference between Promo and Stackable GCs are their length:
Promo GC XXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX Stackable XXXX-XXXXXX-XXXX Good luck. |
You can't use a GC or coupon to buy another GC at Amazon... The GC doesn't get added to your cart like normal items, it's a seperate process and there's no place to enter GCs... Don't think it takes 'em from your GC account either... :(
You can stack a normal GC with one promo GC, but you can't take a free shipping promo code and combine it with a $10 off $65 promo. Good way to see if it's promo is 1. like above, coupon code length, and 2. if it's an amount off with a minimum purchase, odds are it's promo Promo GCs end in 6 digits after the last - and normal ones have 4 or 5, I don't remember... |
