what is everyones experience with preorders from hmv?
 

I preordered Bring It On... a long time ago.. and waited and waited and waited.. about 2 months after the movie was released (and about 10 emails to customer support later) I ended up cancelling that order and picking a movie that was in stock..
whenever I order something that is in stock, it shows up pretty quick..

well.. I preordered my copy of the Simpsons season 1 from HMV, because i had my IBM $15 gc and used the $5 off coupon.. got a pretty sweet deal.. but its not as great if it ends up taking them forever to ship

no opinions on HMV?

I pre-ordered a lot of things from HMV using the Garageband GCs. They would usually ship the item on the Monday prior to the street date. As it was coming from Canada, I would usually have it by Friday.

I ordered a bunch of DVDs from them with Garageband GCs and only one DVD was backordered. It took them 2 months to get it in stock, but i finally received it. Everything else i got promptly and in exellent condition.

I preordered SOTL SE from them, it shipped on the release date, and I received it 4 or 5 days later.
