Amazon.com Help

At http://www.dvdpricesearch.com/cgi-bin/dvdhtml2 I found the code for free shipping at Amazon with an order of $50 or more. It says to get free shipping you can only have $10 in discounts.

So, I applied the 10$ discount code AMZNDSVRCARD to my $75 order and I apply the AMEXSUMRFRCC for my free shipping.

Free shipping does not show up though!

Why is this?

Has nayone else got this code to work?

Can someone help?

Thanks.

P.S. I originally had 11.57 in savings because of 'Share the Love', but I took share the love off, so now my savings are only $10.00.

You can't double up on the codes like that.

apemanttt 07-10-01 01:20 AM

Whaaa

Why not? I thought it said you could...?

ClarkKentKY 07-10-01 01:24 AM

Pretty sure you can't. Amazon considers those promotional. Therefore, as it says on the ordering pages, you can't combine them. YOU CAN however use the STL and the promtional code of your choice....

Hmm

Can I use a gift certificate Amazon e-mailed me? I mean, can i add that on?

ClarkKentKY 07-10-01 01:32 AM

Depends. If THEY emailed it to you its probably promotional too! :)

But give it a shot, it might work.

Ah Well

I'll just order from B&N. I get free shipping and 10$ off 40$.

apemanttt 07-10-01 01:55 AM

Oh wait

What if I combine a past order with free shipping and a new order without free shipping?

They specifically don't allow for the combination of orders with promotional codes applied to them. This would apply to the free shipping code as well.

So, no go.

The reason why is that we exploited their loopholes many times. don't think they will be fooled again.

The $10 thing in the rules for that coupon refers to the fact that if your shipping charges are over $10, you will only get $10 of the shipping for free.

Hmm, I don't know that I would call it "exploiting their loopholes." If a merchant offers a product on certain specific terms at a certain specific price, and you agree to purchase on those terms and at that price, you have not "exploited their loopholes" just because the terms and price are less favorable to the merchant than the merchant believed. It happens in business all the time. Usually one party gets the better deal in a contract. That is business, not exploiting loopholes.
