Unfortunately, effective June 22, 2001, dash terminates its service.

In accordance with the dash Terms and Conditions, you must request payment of your dash Rewards within 30 days of termination, or by July 22, 2001. Due to increased fraudulent claims for Rewards, and in accordance with the "Anti-Fraud Measures and Forfeitures" section of our Terms and Conditions, we will require all claims for Rewards to be accompanied by copies of receipts for all eligible purchases. If you do not have receipts, we will also accept copies of your credit card statement with your name and purchases highlighted. We recommend that you black out the account number and any other personal information.

Note: As provided for in Dash's Terms and Conditions, Rewards for purchases from certain merchants that have filed for bankruptcy and ceased making affiliate payments to Dash (e.g. Cyberrebates) will not be paid.

The process for claiming your Rewards is as follows:

1) Click here to print out your account page.

2) For "Available Rewards", send the account page printout with receipts and/or credit card statements to:

Dash
Attention: Available Rewards
24 West 25th Street, 9th floor
New York, NY 10010

This must be postmarked by Monday, July 23, 2001. All eligible Available Rewards will be paid no later than Friday, September 21, 2001.

3) For "Pending Rewards", send the account page printout with receipts and/or credit card statements to:

Dash
Attention: Pending Rewards

New York, NY 10010

This must be postmarked by Monday, July 23, 2001. All eligible Pending Rewards will be paid on Friday, December 14, 2001.

If you do not separate your request for Available versus Pending Rewards, all of your eligible, requested rewards will be paid no later than Friday, December 14, 2001.

From dash's Terms and Conditions:

Termination of Service. Dash reserves the right, at any time, for any or no reason, with or without notice, to cease operation of the Web Site (including, without limitation, the Service) and/or to terminate this Agreement, in which cases the License, and all of your rights to use the Software, shall thereupon automatically terminate. You will have thirty (30) days following posting of notice by Dash on the Web Site of cessation of its service to request payment of accrued Rewards outstanding as of such date. All unpaid accrued Rewards not requested by such date will be forfeited by you.

Anti-Fraud Measures and Forfeitures. Dash will, from time to time, utilize techniques designed to identify fraudulent activities. You understand and agree to cooperate with such efforts as Dash has in its sole discretion deemed necessary to identify such attempts at fraud. You further agree that if for any reason you or others acting upon your behalf are suspected of fraud or other breach of this Agreement, Dash may, in its sole discretion, declare you to be in breach of this agreement, suspend or terminate your participation in the Program, retain any unpaid Rewards, and seek prosecution to the fullest extent of the law. Any retained Rewards shall be in addition to, not in lieu of, any actual or punitive damages, or right to seek other remedies under law, including but not limited to disgorgement of any prior Rewards disbursed. You also understand and agree that Dash may utilize and disclose any personally identifiable information it maintains about you for purposes of seeking remedies under law for any breach of this Agreement. That sucks!

I still have not gotten my last check.

I'm not surprised, more than half the purchases I made with their link never showed up in my account. Repeated e-mails were never responded to and they had no phone number to call. I was just this morning going to remove their annyong bar from my browser when it showed up as no longer active. At least I never counted on the rebates, they were more like minor perks (which I never received). I'll go ahead and mail in per their instructions, but I'll lose no sleep if I never get my $14.72 back from them...

another one bites the dust.........

I used to use them when Reel and Express were the way to go about buying DVDs. When the last of my pending orders with DASH was verified, I requested a check.

I never received anything. And it was for ~$62.00.

I e-mailed them a few times and never got any satisfaction from them and eventually gave up.

No wonder, they are now gone....
