I am from a group that is trying to create an online dvd community where people can go to buy and sell used dvds. Obviously this idea has been tried before, but our goal is to provide a service that is essentially cost-free, easy, and most importantly…quick. My partners and I are avid dvd collectors and we have all used services like ebay and half.com. However, we find that the whole process to place a dvd for sale can be extremely confusing, cluttered, and costly. What would make this site different from large auction websites is the fact that people simply come there to either sell or buy dvds at great prices...so there is no confusion. Since the main focus of our site is based on the welfare of the online dvd collector, we would like to get feedback from everyone on what kinds of interesting characteristics and components collectors would like to see on the site. In addition, the website will be designed partly in flash, so it will be a visual experience that no one has ever seen before on a dvd community. Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from everyone on how we can make this site the best it could be.

I do not think we need another one. In fact, there is a forum at dvdtalk.com just for the thing you talk about. Check it out...

I agree with foxdvd It will be just one more in a long list, only you'll have the handicap of basing the site on Flash. While using flash can be pretty, I'd rather spend my time on a well thought out HTML 1.0 site that offers intelligent navigation and 2 colors than wait for flash to load on a high tech site. And yes, I do have DSL.
