Just placed a massive order (w/ DVDTalk link ) and wanted to get your opinions. A number of items I cancelled from Amazon and placed with them. I don't need my dvds to show up the day after they are released, but I do like to have a worry free experience.

Are they around for the long haul?

2 thumbs up and a very reliable online store. You don't have to worry.

My first order from them was April last year when I got my DVD player.

I've used DVD Empire for the newer FOX DTS/DD releases(Predator, Chain Reaction, Point Break, etc..) as well as any other low priced titles to go along with these. They are top notch. It's funny that FedEx 2nd Day gets me the titles on release day but Priority Mail gets them to me on the day before. I guess that really isn't DVD Empire's fault though..

Great Online Store...

Plus they've been around a long time without resorting to coupons and other promotional gimmicks (excluding the clearance sales). I have no inside info, but I would guess that they've actually been making money these past several years - there's been nary a peep of their demise, unlike express, buy, amazon, etc.

Tip Top on all points. I have used them all in the past, but with the exception of a few titles here and there (Monroe Box), I use them weekly. Priority gets the titles to me the day before if not on the national release day.

The pre-order manager is a very fine tool.

Very fine e-tailer indeed.
