Re: 2022 NBA Playoffs Thread
with a 21-3 run in the fourth quarter to win 110-96.
Stat line looked awfully familiar --- 39% shooting with 19 turnovers,
but this time the Warriors killed on the boards 70-44 and made 20 threes...

Re: 2022 NBA Playoffs Thread
I had to leave the house after the first quarter and was surprised to check the score after the third.
Still was concerned because they’d lost leads before, though maybe not to the Timberwolves level.
Anyway, congrats to the Celtics for moving on. It certainly helped to not have to play against Middleton, but those are the breaks sometimes. Timelord was a big loss but not to the same level. But he’s important in a lot of ways so it’d be nice if he could play the next round.

Seems like choosing the easy path did not work out at all for the Bucks. Anybody could've curb stomped the Bulls and that sure did not help them get ready for the next round.
Am I the only one who thought of Dave Roberts when it comes to Mike Budenholzer? Both guys were literally on the verge of getting fired until their team stepped up and won the championship in 2020 and 2021 respectively. Budenholzer definitely need to take some of the blames because the Bucks cannot keep playing bully balls as if they are playing against cream puffs in the second round of playoffs.

I dunno, I was always a critic of Coach Bud, but I don't think they lost this series because they were out coached. I didn't feel like their schemes were inferior, it just was that outside of Giannis, their team wasn't quite as good.

Biggest travesty of this game and series if the Suns lose, is the fact they continued to hide CP3s injury, whatever it is. You won't convince me nothing is wrong with him.

I’m sure the Bucks would’ve liked to have had home court for game 7, but they did win two games in Boston, and the series was so close they could’ve won regardless. But yeah, ultimately it didn’t work out. Grayson Allen was good against the Bulls but couldn’t handle the Celtics.

27 points in a half in a game 7, ouch.
Even if Paul is hurt, they should be good enough to make this a game. I hope they do.

Did you watch all of the Celtics Bucks series? Because the notion that the Bucks were somehow unprepared to match up against the intensity of a playoff caliber team is ludicrous. These two teams slugged it out for 6 intense games, if they were so unprepared this series would not have gone 7.

Yeah, and we’re still talking about the defending champs here.
I think as LurkerDan said, they were just short of talent without Middleton, and yet they still could’ve won it.

Re: 2022 NBA Playoffs Thread
And defensively the Bucks dare teams to take and make threes. The problem with that is when they make them, like the Celtics did today, it's just too hard to overcome. Especially on a night when it seemed like Giannis ran out of gas after the first quarter.
As it was, 2 of the 3 games the Bucks won came down to the final minute. They could have easily lost this series in 5. The Celtics were pretty clearly the better team.

I certainly didn’t close the door on Dallas but there is no way anyone could’ve predicted this beat down. Yeesh.
