Gonna use timestamps (4:35pm ET) for that, just in case someone posts right at the deadline.

Personal note.... my team hasn't won a playoff game since the 1990 post-season. We played at the Raiders in the Divisional Round, one win away from getting Boomer and Ickey back to a 2nd AFC Championship Game in three years. Bo Jackson suffered a career-ending injury, and some claim that there's been a curse on the Bengals since that happened. That may be, but we haven't earned a rematch against the Raiders since then so I am cautiously optimistic that today may be the day we turn this around.

Regardless of the outcome, though, I will remain a Bengals fan... they're my home team. I've been a season ticket holder for five decades (yes, the 1980s)... I've been to the Super Bowl and I've endured David Klingler. No bandwagon here, just rooting for my team through good times and (mostly) bad.

(I've lost a little weight since that 2014 photo....)
Spoiler:

...and my seats are pretty damn sweet.
Congrats on the win, Ken. Glad you were there to see it!

^ Thanks.

I was at Riverfront in 1990 when we beat the Oilers too. PBS went crazy after that game-ending pick, practically nobody there had ever seen us win a playoff game in their lifetimes.

Ouch, another first round exit for me!

As was noted earlier, it's easy to pick the obvious teams, but that makes it harder to actually win the whole thing. In the first round, you are much better situated for later rounds if you pick a team you know isn't really a SB threat (but hope they win the first one). You picked Tampa, good for you, I was pretty darned sure Tampa would win too. But what if Tampa goes all the way?

^That’s my excuse for my normally first round exit. All or nothing baby!

I do at least have one win to show for that strategy!

I've tried to be cute before with strategy. It never worked.

This time I just went with 1 of the 2 obvious ones to start.

I don't see any real obvious mismatches like last weekend.

I was thinking of taking TEN but it seems like everybody is picking them.

Re: DVDTalk 2021 NFL Playoff Survivor Pool (19th Annual)

As an aside, Ken, my son is a huge Ravens/Lamar Jackson fan, so I took him to Ravens/Bengals in Cinci a few weeks ago. He was kind of disappointed (more due to the fact that Lamar didn't play or even travel with the team than the actual outcome, which he expected), but as a neutral I really enjoyed my experience there. It was way louder than Falcons' games, and we had a fun time.
