Which of course benefitted the mid-major school with 12 rostered Freshmen more than the established Big-XII school.
As a Dayton fan, it was a thrill to see the Flyers take the win. This is unlikely to be a championship season for us, and its very likely to hurt Kansas a lot with the voters, but if you saw the game you'd understand just how competitive, and fun, it was to watch.

Duke slightly leading Gonzaga at the half. Let's see what the 2nd half does.

This came out of nowhere but will no doubt make a lot of Terps fans happy. Turgeon out, Danny Manning as MD head coach.

Sure, why not replace one Kansas basketball player turned KU assistant coach turned head coach with another one?

Anyhow, the Zags - got beaten down tonight by Bama. Great day for Bama fandom in football/hoops.

Turgeon, no Turgeon. Terps just ain't good - losing at home to NW. Between them and Bucknell sucking, it's going to be a disappointing CBB season for me.

Has Mizzou been good recently? Not something to hang your hat on. I know it used to be a rivalry - when - I don't know (when the B12 was the Big 8?).

They were pretty good the last time we played them - 2012. That year, their last in the Big XII, they won the Conference Tournament and both teams were given 2 or 3 seeds. Mizzou lost in their opening game and KU made it to the Championship game where they got trounced by Anthony Davis and Kentucky. MU hasn't been particularly good since then but this is still the biggest and most important one for Kansas, so a beat down is still very enjoyable after a decade of not meeting up.

In other words, Mizzou has sucked (they are 139 in kenpom). This game doesn't mean shit for anyone outside of Kansas I guess.

The CBS Sports Classic is taking place in Vegas tomorrow. It was supposed to be UCLA/UNC and OSU/UK. UCLA and OSU dropped out due to Covid issues so UNC and UK will play at 5:30.

Nice job by WKU to knock off Louisville and that Louisville went to WKU to play.
Need more of those in-state OOC matchups where there are multiple decent teams in the state.

This stat is pretty damn impressive for a major conference.

A bettor placed $400 on both teams would not reach 30 points in the first half at 66-1. KU was at 29 points with 9:25 left in the 1st half. They did not score the rest of the half. OK St - landed on 29 at the end of the half. Won $26K on that bet.

Funny gambling nugget on that one. The exact opposite of a 'bad beat.'
