This game is going to end on roughing calls. The first was a little weak, even though it was an unnecessary push. The second was an obvious helmet to helmet.

Bad week at the office for McVay and the Rams. Imagine if Henry was healthy.

Penalties absolutely killed the Rams tonight. They had like 11 penalties.

Everybody else is too nice to say it…but you’re kind of a pathetic redundant entity here. Worst of all, you almost never read previous posts on the same things you are posting about. 😱

But yeah; you work for the NFL Network. Congrats.

Go Rodgers! 😜🖕

Thought it was the worst moment of the show. Bradshaw just flat out lied, Michael at least tried to bring some even handed remarks. It honestly left me wondering how long they can keep this same crew, some of them should be let go.

I never watch the NFL on Fox crew and change the channel to the red zone channel during halftime.

Re: NFL 2021 Week 9 Thread

That Steelers win over Buffalo in week 1 now looks like a legit win and not a fluke.

It seems AZ has something magical this year if they can win easily with McCoy not that the 49ers are a playoff team and they beat the Rams and the Titans and blew it against GB.

Wait and see how they would do against Tampa in the playoffs.

Prescott is not a very good QB if Tyron Smith does not play.

This season continues to baffle.

Giants over the Raiders is not really a upset since the Raiders never win a 10am game in the East Coast though it still baffles me how they beat Pittsburgh

I am curious to see how you think he lied? I read his comments and didn't see anything that stood out as a lie.

One thing I don't get: if you're a team and you don't thing Ty'son Williams or Jeremy McNichols are good enough to carry the load if your starters go out (and I realize Ty'son was like third string) why not just sign an Adrian Peterson at the start of the season? These old guys can't be owed too much money, right?

I'm no expert, but the minimum salary for AP is higher than a rookie/young guy, by a few hundred thousand. Plus, someone like AP isn't interested in just being a backup and not getting any carries. So I think he was waiting for the opportunity to be on a team where he was going to get the rock.

Re: NFL 2021 Week 9 Thread

Lost in all the Rodgers talk was an extremely poor showing from Jordan Love.

Yes, it's only one game, but not seeing a lot of signs that he's the next franchise QB for the Pack. An example of how "sitting the rookie so he can learn" isn't always the best approach.

And yet, Jordan Love's stats were better than Mahomes in all aspects that game except for the INT.

Re: NFL 2021 Week 9 Thread

Jordan Love is proof the NFL needs a minor league system.

Every other pro sport has minor leagues except the NFL because the owners are too greedy and they might lose money if this is attempted.

A 16 team league(play games on Wednesday and Thursday) would work because it's given that all games will be televised(and/or streamed) and the networks would bend over backwards at the chance .

Oh yeah-Fuck NFL Thursday Night football(because of player safety issues).

College Football isn't a minor league(unless everyone gets paid and players can move up to the NFL during the reg, season).

You're probably correct. He got like a one year, 1.075 million dollar deal to sign with the Titans. He also looked done/over the hill. At the RB position, I'd go with the runner with the less mileage unless you're looking for a rb who can pass block + catch the ball.

I don't think a minor league would work due to the frequency of injuries. The NFL already has 16-man practice squads, plus five or six inactive players on their full roster; it doesn't need anything else.

Yeah, I'd think that's why they don't have a minor league unless you're going to play flag football or something (and even then the wear and tear on the lines can't be avoided) For instance there's no way you'd want to run an RB in a minor league if you have any hopes of them making an impact on your real team.

Small sample size (1 game) I know, but do you think that if this is indeed Rodgers' last season in Green Bay, they'll pick right up where they left off with Love in charge of the offense?

The difference is one of them was playing against the KC defense though...

What was once a promising season has turned into a nightmare for the Raiders. First the Gruden stuff, then Ruggs killed someone because of his selfish actions, and now this.

Re: NFL 2021 Week 9 Thread

As someone in NFL related media put it, the team is going to have to start picking guys that potentially won't have issues living in Vegas. His example was Miami had to do that, as well. Maybe it was Breer who said it.

Maybe they did think Ty’Son could carry the load and just had to see it in a game. And to be fair, they did sign the 2016 All-Star team in Freeman, Murray, and Bell.

I dunno. As you said, it’s one game, and it’s one guy, and he was a late first-round pick as well. I don’t think there will ever be a definitive answer to this question.
