Defensive struggle at Auburn.

The PSU/MSU game is pretty to watch with the snow.

UAB came up about 2 inches short on their 3rd down play before that which would have sealed it. Then punted it away instead of going for it on 4th.
Will be down to 2 undefeateds left. UTSA getting blown out today by North Texas.

Stupid Auburn player going out of bounds, giving Alabama an extra 40 seconds to go and tie the game.

Hard to fault him in the heat of the moment. Maybe he could have dove head first and tried to stay in-bounds.

Now goofy college OT.

Death, taxes and a complete lack of defense in the Bedlam game.

Yep, very short lived. On to a 1 game Hawkeye fan. Meh...

I probably would have gone to the B1G championship game had Wisconsin won. I 'thought' they at least had the defense to stack up against TTUN offense. I don't think Iowa has that, gonna skip it this year.

Nice run for OU QB. Is there life still?

Rooting for OSU but that was a simply horrible non-call on that obvious PI.

OU probably gets the call if they weren't leaving the conference.

What a great time for the Big12. Texas and Oklahoma are supposedly leaving for greener pastures and one is basically the doormat of the conference and the other isn't even playing for the championship. Good look in the SEC. Perennial bottom dwellers. The old saying!...Money doesn't buy happiness!

They don't call it Bedlam for nothing.

That punt muff was a killer. Punt Returning 101 - never field a punt inside the 5, particularly if you are just going to fair catch it anyhow.

I've certainly seen much less called PI - many times.

on the positive side Auburn choking (again) helps the Hogs finish 3rd in the west, now it’s all about the bowl invite, hoping for the Gator or Outback vs Penn St.

Would hardly call losing by two with a back up QB with one leg after being predicted to lose by 3 touchdowns choking. It was clear TJ shouldn’t have been in going into 4th but our backup got injured in practice as well.

Really hope the expanded playoffs will finally kill the bowl games. The main point of them was to give teams television exposure that otherwise wouldn’t get it. You can pretty much catch every team on tv at this point one way or another. Unless they are in a New Years 6 bowl guys planning to declare rarely play (as they shouldn’t). They have over saturated them so much even less than .500 teams have a chance to make a bowl. Expand the playoffs to 12, make 8 conferences, conference champs get auto invite and 4 at large.

I have no problem with the bowl games (and they certainly won't go away even if there is a 12-team playoff). I just don't watch most of them. Let ESPN have them. It gives them stuff to air in late December. Who cares.

Bowl games benefit programs in that they get another week or three of practice, plus more exposure which helps recruiting.

The Bowl games are important.

So, yeah, I'm all for expanding the playoffs to 8 teams (each of the P5 conference champions, the highest ranked G5 conference champion, and 2 at large berths), but there would still be room for the Bowl games in December.
