So, the races in the top 3 leagues are already decided. Guess it's time to focus on the Scudetto and CL.
Or for me, the Europa and the relegation playoff! Yay!

Salah hasn't scored a league goal in weeks.
blah.
any chance Napoli or Atalanta can close the gap and challenge for first? Or is it a Milan-only race?

Blackburn are in the mix for promotion back to the PL.
They currently sit third a few points behind Fulham and Bournemouth.
It's been ten years since they were relegated.

I certainly feel the race is still open and both Napoli and Atalanta have good chances. I am less inclined towards Napoli. If Atalanta can get Gosens back fully healthy, I think they would be my favourite.

LOL Farca. Had the greatest player in the world and pissed him away. Is relegation too much to hope for? But given how pathetic is La Liga that’s asking too much.

Southampton have announced that Sport Republic has bought Gao Jisheng’s controlling stake in the club.
The Chinese businessman has been seeking to sell his 80 per cent share for close to two years and has now completed a deal with the London-based investment firm.
Sport Republic want to operate a multi-club model, and Southampton are their first acquisition.

Manchester United’s reputation for winning penalties remains intact with a new study showing they benefit more often than any team in Europe’s ‘big five’ leagues.
Across the current season and the previous three, the Red Devils have been given a penalty every 299 minutes – pipping Paris St Germain to top spot in England, FranceSpain, Germany and Italy and 10th in the 31 European leagues surveyed overall by the CIES Football Observatory....

We shouldn't gloat, gents. Canada's men's team has been a sad joke since the Proterozoic Eon. Last time they qualified was 1986, and I remember their not scoring a single goal at the WC. We were in Munich visiting friends of my parents at the time of the final, and Germany's squeaker of a loss to Argentina was crushing.

I just assume USA and CAN will both get knocked out in the group stage in the WC. Certainly not past the first knock-out round.

^Perhaps we crossed paths somewhere.
I was in Frankfurt, Bremen, Hamburg, and Munich (not to mention Holland and Denmark) at various times during that vacation, but I distinctly remember watching the final in Munich. I was a soccer-mad 11-year-old, and a very good player at the time.

I have faith that Canada will be able to get out of the WC group stage, depending on the teams in the group and if all of Canada’s players are healthy.

Gloating, we are not. But being elated, ecstatic and overjoyed is okay after so many years of sucking really hard, so our reaction is justifiable. When we have an 8-1 defeat from Honduras in the past, you know that our Men’s team was really pathetic.

It wasn’t pretty but Canada did the job in winning in El Salvador last night to remain top of the table.
