CP3 basically did nothing for three quarters then closed the Nuggets out, which is exactly why heís there. Four Suns score 20, perfectly balanced.

Nuggets are going to come out swinging next game but that was impressive.

Celtics one win against the Nets is starting to look pretty good!

Gotta figure Coach Bud is done if he can't at least get them to a game 7 (and possibly even then if they lose). It'd be one thing to be down 2-0 to Harden, KD, and Kyrie, but to be down 2-0 to just KD/Kyrie?

Tatum kind of is the perfect player to exploit the Nets bigs. If they give him space he can shoot over them, but they aren't quick enough to stop his drives when they respect his shot. And if they put Durant on him, then he has less energy to expend on offense.

Interesting potential playoff match up the next 2-3 years assuming Nets big 3 stay together and Boston figure out some roster issues.

Ugh, to be up that big early and then give it up. I expected a loss but that hurt. Mitchell played Kennard like a fiddle too, not sure what Lue was doing.

At least PG is going for one record:

Was it his 8th game or his 10th one?

The graphic is old but theyíre saying heís up to 10 now.

He set a record last year with three in a row:

But one of them doesnít count as one of the 10 because he went 3 for 14 and didnít make it to 15 shots. So he was at 8 total after that stretch, then shot 4 for 16 in that last postseason game last year and then the 10th came today.

Is anyone else hoping we get to see Booker vs Mitchell in the next round?

I'm all in on hoping Chris Paul gets a ring this season... Always liked his game.

It would be nice if he at least retired from "Best player to never make an NBA Finals" status.

CP3 vs. Blake and DeAndre... in the Finals at last.

But I'd rather see the CP3 vs. the Clips then the Clips vs. Blake and DeAndre.

From the east in order of who I want:
Milwaukee
Atlanta
Brooklyn/Sixers (don't want either)

West:
Nuggets
Everyone else

Given that it is almost surely going to be Brklyn or the Sixers out of the East, I will be rooting for whatever team wins the West.

Man when the Bucks have to actually set up their offense, woof. They are just terrible. On the fast break, they're fine, but otherwise they need their stars to bail them out. That's gotta be coaching.

Actually both teams are terrible. But on one side, Milwaukee's defense is actually decent and forcing missed shots. On the other Milkwaukee's offense just settles for Giannis threes which is not pretty.

Credit to the Bucks for holding the Nets to 83 and pulling one out.

Not living in Colorado, I donít really have a preference out west, though the Clippers would probably be at the bottom. And I donít really have a preference between MIL and ATL. Iíll just root for anyone against Philly or Brooklyn.

I watched the last six minutes or so of that Bucks - Nets game and I am not sure I ever saw Kyrie touch the ball. Was he hurt or something? Brown took a LOT of shots and made very few of them.

These Utah jerseys remind me of Atari 2600.

It was infuriating. It's one thing if Brown/Harris are taking shots at the end if they were hot all game, but they were ice cold. Brown taking that next to last drive had me absolutely perplexed. He was bricking literally everything. There is NO reason he should have even been touching the ball. You have Kyrie and KD, and it should have been all them for the last 4 minutes.

Re: 2021 NBA Playoffs (and Play-In Tournament) Thread

I didn't watch the game, but Brown shot 8-17, so hardly ice cold or bricking everything. He was 0-2 in the last minute, and had two more misses around the 3 minute mark. So yeah, 0-4 to end the game, but seems weird to call that "ice cold" and "bricking literally everything" when it was just 4 shots and before that he was 8-13, which is scorching hot. But yeah, it does seem weird not to have Kyrie or KD taking the shots (Harris is a sharpshooter so it wouldn't be weird for him either, but he shouldn't be creating on-ball).

Yeah, I was wrong about Brown. It was just those last few minutes were burned into my brain.

It was much worse watching it live because Brown kept getting blocked/bodied going to the rim, plus both teams were having such a huge problem scoring in that quarter that his 1-6 plus an offensive foul in the fourth quarter were especially egregious with Kyrie doing nothing (though Kyrie was also only 2-5). Granted, he did have two assists and played really well the rest of the game so it's not so much that he didn't deserve to be out there but he's not Harden. (Also, that last play was blown up because Kyrie lost the handle, it wasn't designed for Brown or anything he just ended up with it)

Also, while there was a roar when Giannis made that 3, he has absolutely no business at all shooting 8 of them (although he matched his average of... .125 from deep for the playoffs).

If Giannis could get his 3P% up to something like 37%, he would be absolutely unstoppable. But 30% doesn't cut it.

What about 12.5%?

He's at 51.9% on freethrows too which is why he got it out of his hands in a hurry on that last possession when they were fouling.

Re: 2021 NBA Playoffs (and Play-In Tournament) Thread

So Durant and Tucker had a minor incident in the last game, and security came on to break them up. I was wondering why Tucker was so incensed at the guy breaking them up, but turns out it was Durant's personal bodyguard. I'm sorry but that dude should be thrown from the arena.
