Whatever I bet on. Otherwise, I couldn't care less who wins.

Re: Super Bowl LV - 2/7/21 @ Tampa Bay

I don't think home field is that big of a advantage.

Bucs don't have the most passionate or biggest fanbase and maybe Chiefs fans buy most of the tickets plus Super Bowl crowds are mostly rich quiet people and not the blue collar fans who make the most noise.

I wonder if the Bucs choose the white road jerseys as a good luck omen since they won 3 road playoff games in a row?

Alright I googled and what I found makes no sense. What does Team Meteor mean in regards to this poll?

It means you'd rather have a meteor hit the earth and end all life than to have either of those 2 teams win.

I'm rooting for the Chiefs and believe they'll win, but I can't discount the possiblity that whatever unholy deal Tom Brady made with Satan will bring him victory.

I pulled hard for Team Meteor when the Patriots played the Eagles.

Re: Super Bowl LV - 2/7/21 @ Tampa Bay

Article from The Athletic on what a Home Super Bowl means for the Bucs :
Spoiler:
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are headed home to host Super Bowl LV.

How rare is this? In 55 Super Bowls, the Bucs will be the first team to play the NFL’s championship game in its home stadium.

What does this mean for the Bucs and the AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs, and what might this home Super Bowl look like for the Bucs during this postseason played amid a pandemic?

Who gets tickets?

On Friday, the league announced that capacity at Raymond James Stadium will be approximately 22,000 fans: 14,500 in paid attendance and 7,500 vaccinated health care workers who will receive free tickets.

What does that mean for Bucs fans wanting to watch their team at home?

Because of the pandemic and the drastic reduction in paid stadium capacity, the number of tickets available to the fan bases of participating teams will be reduced.

The Bucs won’t get a larger share of the tickets even though they’re playing at home. The NFL typically gives the NFC and AFC champions an equal allotment (in non-pandemic years, it is approximately 17 percent each of the total number of paid tickets), and those tickets are distributed to season-ticket holders through a lottery. An NFL spokesman told The Athletic on Sunday night that the league was still finalizing plans for how tickets will be distributed, but the Bucs and the Chiefs will receive the same share.

What about the rest of the tickets? A fraction would go to the other 30 teams, typically around 1 to 1.5 percent each. Those percentages are expected to drop this year. The remainder of the tickets go through the league and are sold to sponsors and other league partners. A scan of the NFL’s Super Bowl ticket website, NFL On Location Experiences, showed the cheapest tickets in the upper corner of the stadium being offered for $9,000. (The most expensive tickets, behind the Bucs’ bench, are listed for $24,750 each.)

It would be reasonable to expect a heavy pro-Bucs presence in the stadium, but it won’t come cheap, and even then it won’t feel like a typical home game.

What home advantages will the Bucs have?

The NFC was already scheduled to be the home team in this game, which means the Bucs should expect to be able to use their normal home locker room and their home sideline at Raymond James Stadium, plus they’ll get their first choice of jersey color. They could choose to wear their typical red home jersey or, if they are superstitious, opt for the road whites they’ve worn in their three playoff wins this month. (The Chiefs were the home team at last year’s Super Bowl in Miami.)

The week before the game will also be somewhat normal — or as normal as that week can be. The Bucs will practice at their home facility and will be allowed to sleep at home, plus they won’t have to deal with many of the stresses of coordinating travel and Super Bowl accommodations for family and friends.

But this might not be the advantage it would have been in a typical year. The NFL was already planning for each participating team to spend the week before the game practicing at its home facility. The Chiefs won’t arrive in Tampa until the end of the week, likely two nights before the game, and much of the typical Super Bowl week pageantry has been canceled, scaled back dramatically or made virtual (media night, for example, will be conducted via Zoom, and radio row won’t be its typical spectacle).

What will feel different?

The Bucs will get some of the comforts of home, but this is still a neutral-site game. The NFL is still trying to figure out how the pirate ship at Raymond James Stadium will be used. At Bucs home games, the cannon fires whenever the team reaches the red zone, scores or wins. The ship is too cool of a feature to be out of commission, and the NFL would like it to be part of the in-game entertainment, but it will need to be in a way that isn’t pro-Bucs.

How can anyone bet against this guy? I never cared that much for him, but what he has done in his career is amazing.

I don't care because a 30 y/o tradition of my best bud coming over to watch the SB probably won't happen because of a damn COVID curfew.

I'll vote for the stupid Chiefs, even though they beat the 49ers last year.

Re: Super Bowl LV - 2/7/21 @ Tampa Bay

They should have won it this year and lost last year though maybe in a few years we might look back on the 49ers having a chance to beat them and a 10 point lead as an accomplishment since they were not good enough to win a Super Bowl and got lucky in 2019 to get there.

I'm wondering how are the Home and Away teams decided for the Super Bowl?

It's all decided ahead of time by the NFL, and the Conferences alternate. This year is the NFC's turn to be the home team, so it will be the Bucs. Last year was the AFC's turn, and the Chiefs were the home team.

The Bucs, as the home team, will have the option to choose what color they wear.

And they will get their normal locker room and sideline in this scenario.

So the Chiefs will likely wear their white jerseys and red pants.

Unless Tampa is superstitious about their post season winning steak being all in white and wants to continue wearing it.

Re: Super Bowl LV - 2/7/21 @ Tampa Bay

I assume they wear the white for good luck and they lost in the red to the Chiefs in Nov so they might not want to do that again.

I hope it is that way since the Chiefs red jerseys and white pants is one of the best uni combos in the NFL.

The Pats wore their road unis in 2017 because they felt the blue jerseys were jinxed after losing two Super Bowls to the Giants.

I wonder in the future if we will get a repeat Super Bowl halftime performer?

Beyonce came closed when she crashed the Coldplay show in Super Bowl 50 in 2016.
