Tampa Bay 31, Green Bay 26
And like that, one-half of the field is gone.
If Kansas City wins, we have three players heading to the Super Bowl needing to get the tiebreak to fall in their favor to take the pool.
If Buffalo wins, the pool ends and.... well... I win.
And like that, one-half of the field is gone.

Re: DVDTalk 2020 NFL Playoff Survivor Pool (18th Annual)
We've been in this situation before.... all of the players who are still alive are forced to take the same team (Tampa) since they used Kansas City to get here. All of them will "win" the pool at 4-0, requiring a tiebreak to settle the final 1-2-3 order of finish.... or all of them will "lose" the pool at 3-1, requiring a tiebreak to settle the final 1-2-3 order of finish.
So - it does not matter who wins the Super Bowl. Right now, all that matters is who comes closest to picking the correct final # of points scored.
PLEASE READ: I would like each of the players to PM me with their choice. I will not publish them until I have all three. You CAN change your mind and PM me with an update, but once all of thee players have submitted their picks the numbers will be revealed and the picks will be locked in. There is an advantage in submitting an earlier pick, in that the order of submission is the first (and only) tiebreaker in case two of you are equally-distant from the actual final total. Also, equally important, it is possible that some of you may submit a pick that is identical to a pick already submitted. Since I cannot reveal picks until they're all in, I need to ensure that all picks are unique without revealing anything that could give anyone an advantage. If an identical pick is received it will be adjusted up or down by a point (or two) to ensure that it is unique. To help me with this, when you submit your pick also please tell me whether you want me to adjust it UP or DOWN in the event of a duplicate. If you don't, I'll flip a coin.

For Joey, Jeff, and printerati.... it might help to review last year's thread... the situation you're in is identical to what happened last year, though back then there were FIVE players owning the Chefs:

Re: DVDTalk 2020 NFL Playoff Survivor Pool (18th Annual)
Darn thought I posted a pick for conference championship week. Guess I didn't - sigh! Oh well I would have been eliminated anyway as my pick would have been Green Bay - 58 pts. (Had to go NFC there since as a Buffalo fan I was saving them for the Super Bowl. Had to pick Green Bay due to already picking Tampa Bay.) Good luck to the three finalists! Go Kansas City!!!

Re: DVDTalk 2020 NFL Playoff Survivor Pool (18th Annual)
Just wanted to let everyone know that I have tiebreaker picks from printerati and JoeySeven (in that order). Once JeffTheAlpaca sends his to me - or posts it openly to this thread (which he CAN do at this point) - I will be able to reveal the spread table for the Super Bowl. Until Jeff does that, the other two are free to update their picks if they wish, though their order of submission would be impacted.

Re: DVDTalk 2020 NFL Playoff Survivor Pool (18th Annual)
Okey dokey... the picks are in! As nobody inadvertently submitted a tiebreaker that was identical to a previously-submitted tiebreaker, the "up/down" tiebreaker tiebreaks can be ignored.
In order, the picks were:
45 printerati at 01-26-21 08:46PM
56 JoeySeven at 01-31-21 02:59AM
48 JeffTheAlpaca at 02-03-21 07:27PM
Our spread table will therefore be:
0-46 printerati
48-51 JeffTheAlpaca
52-up JoeySeven
JoeySeven gets 52 because his pick arrived before JeffTheAlpaca's pick.
Good luck to all!

Since KC almost scored a TD at the end, curious who would have won at 47 as that number was for some reason omitted.

Re: DVDTalk 2020 NFL Playoff Survivor Pool (18th Annual)
It would have been Jeff. There must be a typo in kenbuzz's more recent post, as the second post in the thread contains the following:
Here is the spread table, regardless of who wins the game:
46 or fewer = printerati [chose 45] <-- Winner! (TBB 31-9)
47-51 = JeffTheAlpaca [chose 48]
52 or more = JoeySeven [chose 56]
52 goes to JoeySeven for having submitted his pick (56) earlier than JeffTheAlpaca (48)
