Official 2021 NFL Off-Season Thread
I figured we could start this thread a few hours ahead of the end of the NFL season. Hope nobody minds me jumping the gun by a bit.
Doug Peterson expected to be retained by the Eagles for the 2021 Season.

To the surprise of no one, both Adam Gase and Doug Marrone were informed that they have been fired as soon as the game ends tomorrow.

Then there is Anthony Lynn. Apparently his players love him, so they'll probably blow out the resting Chiefs today.
I think the betting total on coaches canned this week is 3.

FWIW, NFL Network has not confirmed that Marrone has been informed and FOX NFL Sunday stated that Marrone has indicated that he has not yet been informed. Seems like a done deal, but nothing formal yet.

Wentz's 4-year $128M extension officially kicks in next season.
He's supposed to earn $15.4M in base salary in 2021. Who the hell can afford to take on that, especially for a QB who had a disastrous season?

Re: Official 2021 NFL Off-Season Thread
If Wentz truly want fresh start elsewhere then he needs take a massive pay cut to accommodate the trade. However, not sure if NFLPA would allow something like that even if both parties are willing participants.

I hope there is no 2021 season so I don't have to watch the 49ers.
Not looking forward to 2021.

I mean this season was an aberration for the Niners, just a massive slew of injuries. Coming back next year healthy and with the #12 pick in the draft and they should be fine. Assuming Jimmy G comes back strong.

They'll have 3 picks in the top 35. Not too shabby. They're stocking up.

And Gase will likely get another job as a coordinator in the next year or two. He'll just be another in a long line of retreads who still get work in the NFL.

John Elway is stepping down as GM for the Broncos. After Peyton Manning he could never get the Qb right for them.

The Chargers always get hot and go on a winning streak when their season is over and it too late.
Maybe if they were in the NFC they would have a chance to make the playoffs.
