Last I saw he missed a game or 2 for personal reasons and hadn't notified Nash? Is that it? I certainly love to laugh at the Nets and Kyrie, but I don't know his personal life so I figured I would wait to hear more details before truly guffawing.

That plus there's now video of him at a birthday party with no mask. So along with his personal reasons to be out, he now will also have to quarantine (most likely) and deal with the NBA looking into how/why it happened.

I'd feel sorry for Durant, but he chose to team up with Kyrie. There is nothing wrong with being a gun for hire, but it's on him for willingly choosing to team up with Kyrie instead of another all star who is more mentally balanced.

Yup, that's what the new hot item is. Now, the rumor that he was partying it up with Drake in Toronto appears to be false, but he was at a maskless party for his sister's birthday.

He's also expected to at least miss today for a fourth game missed, and may be out the rest of the week, 2 more games.

Magic aren't traveling to Boston to play the Celtics on Wed; game is postponed. No word on their 2nd game, scheduled for Fri.

Wow, I just tuned in to the Lakers/Rockets and the Lakers are blowing them out. Lakers blew them out the other night as well.

^ Somebodyís eating their feelings!

What a mess of a sports town Houston is right now. Their baseball team has been exposed as conducting the sportís biggest cheating scandal in 100 years, their biggest superstar in both Basketball and Football very publicly want out of town, and despite being the fourth biggest market in the US, they donít even have an NHL team to screw up.

Today we have three games cancelled because of COVID:
Magic vs. Celtics
Jazz vs. Wizards
Hawks vs. Suns

This is the third Celtics game in a row that has been cancelled. I would hate to own a Celtic in a weekly fantasy league this week.

Yup this is exactly what happened to the NFL and MLB. With no bubble, there was bound to have some COVID exposures.

The NBA should have had a more regional type schedule then making up the games wouldn't be difficult.

Dude, the second half of the season hasn't even been announced yet. There will be plenty of opportunities to make up games if they are okay with extending the season duration.
If there was ANY question before about the NBA players participating in the 2021 Olympics, those should be put to bed. It's not happening.

I am praying that Harden goes to the Nets for a boatload of complimentary players and all of their picks. Can't wait to see Harden, Kyrie, and KD on the same team, that's some incredible offensive talent with potential for the most DRAMA ever seen in the league.

And then, watching the Nets be terrible because they mortgaged their future, for the second time, will add to the hilarity. Please, NBA, make it happen.

I wonder if a this point the Nets would just straight up swap Kyrie for Harden.

Teams shouldn't fly cross country to play a make up game then return home during a pandemic.

Maybe they would, but I cannot imagine Houston would. Not only is Harden the far superior player, but who would want a disgruntled (because you know he would be) Kyrie? That's as bad or worse than a disgruntled Harden.

If I were Houston I would take Kyrie and some of the further out picks (after the Nets implode). Otherwise I think they have to take Dinwiddie (who can opt out), LeVert (or Harris), and some other chaff (I doubt they touch DeAndre), and I fee like you could get more down the line from a Kyrie who is locked in for three years than from those guys.

Though I would probably rather have Simmons if that's actually on the table.

Re: The 2020-21 NBA Season Thread -- The Coronavirus adjusted edition

I don't see how this is good for the Nets at all. There's no way those three guys could even work on a team.

I can't imagine the Rockets trading for Kyrie. Who would at this point?

Don't gut the entire team. I know Harden is talented, but I don't think it's worth it. Plus, with Harden's lifestyle, he's not going to have LeBron type longevity.

At least Harden got his wish? Houston just traded him to the Nets...

Houston gets four first round picks and four draft swaps.
They also get LeVert and are flipping him for Oladipo (who's contract expires this year)

Jarrett Allen is in the mix somewhere too.

The Nets have three max salaries including a super max. And Dinwiddie who is out the rest of the year can opt out.

That's like 7 years of the Rockets controlling the Nets picks. The other first rounder is Milwaukee's 2022 first rounder (via CLE) which is unlikely to be very high. I read all the picks that the Rockets get from the Nets are unprotected. Big win for HOU if that's the case.

They really are going to have to pass a Stepien rule 2.0 to save GMs from themselves.

My other thought is that if Harden didn't want to share with CP3, I have no idea how he's going to coexist with Kyrie.

Wow, that's a crazy deal for Harden.
