Another titans player is positive. They're game with the Bills is all but off. I've heard everything from fining them to canceling their season all together. The easy answer would be for them to forfeit the game this week but that would mean the Bills players wouldn't get paid.

I realize Dwayne Haskins was terrible but to be demoted to third string under Kyle Allen AND Alex Smith is pretty harsh.

Seahawks sign Snacks Harrison to the practice squad. And yes, I’m only reporting this not because he’s a former All-Pro DT, but because his name is “Snacks.”

Tyrod's out. Herbert is the starter going forward

Titans vs Bills will probably get moved to Monday or Tuesday. There will probably be no forfeit as the NFL doesn't want to open up that bunch of worms.

Titans will get hit with a huge fine, draft pick loss and Vrabel will probably get suspended.

NFL has the buffer of the week btwn the CCs and SB to use and make a Week 18 (pushing back the current Week 17 to 18 and filling in any make-ups in Week 17).

The forfeit option is a really bad idea. For one, you don't give Buffalo a free win. For two, acc'd to the CBA, the Buffalo players don't get paid for that even if it was a fuck-up by the Titans.

I will be really surprised if there is a forfeit - at least one that grants Buffalo a full win.

Giving a team a forfeit win is not only a free win - it's an injury-free win. They get a win without having to risk any injury or wear and tear to their players - which will also help them the following week. It's too much of a gift.

I don't know why NFL coaches still keep up the illusion that the QB they drafted in the top 10 will "carry a clipboard" till they're ready. That is simply outdated thinking, in these days of capped rookie contracts. The only thing you're doing is pissing away the beginning of the season, and wasting the limited time you have with a young QB.

Yeah. If it comes to it, you just cancel the game and go to win pct for standings.

This ain't little league.

And ESPN just confirmed the chatter I heard. DEN/NE to MNF.

No, it's still a COVID thing. Presumably because the Pats aren't practicing until at least Saturday.

Re: 2020 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 5

I can skip Patriots vs Broncos with no Cam Newton. That is like having a TNF matchup on MNF lol.

Sucks no Chiefs vs Bills next week on TNF. No debate either probably on that night so MLB must be happy.

That Chiefs vs Bills game could have been a AFC Championship preview.

The first half I hoped for, I suspect the Bucs will start to pull away pretty soon.
