🦃

Because Trubisky was drafted ahead of Mahomes and Watson, he must be better than those two fools? How likely are the average football fans going to believe this line of logic from Bears FO?

😂

Lion's are supposedly starting their third string QB today and its only the third time(maybe 4th time) that an NFL QB makes his first ever start on Thanksgiving.

My picks...

1. Don't care (Lions, I guess)
2. Bills
3. Falcons

I like the strategy of kicking it right at one of the up men.

Bo Scarborough looks pretty good, He’d have topped 100 if that last one hadn’t been called back.

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 13

This is actually an interesting finish. Trubisky hit Anthony Miller a couple times downfield, and now they’re knocking on the door down by three,

Nice to see Hockenson bounce off tacklers and pick up the first.

The NFL needs fewer divisions.

Thus fewer crap bag first place teams.

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 13

Cincinnati is so good that they are playing two teams this week and at the same time.

Dak is killing me in one FF dynasty league with the playoffs about to start .

bills are good.
Butt Garrett deserves to be canned extended.
Really I think this is the year.

I don’t mind watching my kicker miss if it makes Jerry Jones fume.

So the next game is the Saints at Falcons... which means all 3 home teams will lose today.

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 13

Yet another week where Jason Garrett's future will be a hot topic of discussion on sports talk shows.

Edit: Oh, Boomer just mentioned the divisional standings. If the Eagles win in Miami on Sunday, they will be tied at 6-6 for the best record in the NFC East. If the Boys cannot even win the division after the big lead they once had, Garrett is definitely doomed.

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 13

They only had a lead because of 3 wins against crap teams to start the season. Garrett has a foot out the door but I know Jerry didn't want to fire him during the season when 1st place is sill possible. But these last couple of losses might force his hand.

And this doesn't sound like a happy bunch:

Maybe you add the Chargers to that list and they could have drafted Mahomes or Waton River's replacement instead of Mike Williams.

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 13

It is going to be tough for the Niners in Baltimore.

They never win there and John Harbaugh has their number and the Ravens offense still moved the ball without their center Matt Skura. Not sure if the short week will help the 49ers.

Hope they don't get embarrassed or lose by 40 points.

Yup, crap like this happens every year. Until 6-7 games in, nobody has any idea how good the wins in the first few weeks of the season were. Remember when everyone thought the Patriots were the second coming of Football Jesus for the first eight weeks of the season? That was based on their blowout win of the Steelers in week one and the assumption that any Mike Tomlin-led Steelers team had to be at least pretty darn good (not the case). Well, the Patriots rattled off seven straight wins, six against garbage teams and a squeaker in Buffalo.

Garrett has a foot out the door but I know Jerry didn't want to fire him during the season when 1st place is sill possible. But these last couple of losses might force his hand.
I can't see it happening unless they nosedive from here on out and their chances of winning the division are gone. Otherwise, Jerry would be foolish to replace him now. At the moment, anyway, the Cowboys hold the tiebreaker against the Eagles and may even continue to do so even if they lose to them later on even if they split their head-to-head and both finish 5-1 in the division (I am too lazy to figure out the other tiebreaker criteria right now). Neither one of them has a particularly tough remaining schedule other than playing one another, although Philly has a bit of an edge here with Miami, two games against the Giants, and the Redskins. Dallas, on the other hand, has at Chicago, home against the Rams, and the Redskins remaining. If nothing else, this puts the Redskins in a position to find a silver lining to their otherwise dreadful season and play spoiler. Since the NFC East gets a disproportionate amount of interest anyway, this could lead to a lot of intrigue along the way to deciding which team wins the division and then loses in the first round of the playoffs.

The question will be this: What if the Cowboys beat the Eagles again and win the division going away and then either win their first playoff game or play really well in a loss. Will Garrett keep his job another year?

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 13

The tide is rising in Buffalo. Josh Allen has thrown 17 touchdowns to 1 interception since the New England debacle. Motor can effectively move the chains. The defense is getting stronger every week with Ed Oliver leading the way. I would not be shocked to see them representing the AFC for the Lombardi at the Hard Rock.
