I have no opinion. Had to work then go to a Continuing Medical Education lecture. Listened to a little on ESPN radio. Sounded like KU was a turnover machine.

Also it looks like the Kansas University sports radio channel has been removed by Tune In. That sucks almost as bad as the loss. :mad2:

Well this is certainly a bump in the road for Memphis :

They're not a blue blood and not in a power conference, so interesting to see what happens.

UNC skated scot-free, same with L'ville, and I'm sure your Jayhawks will too.

Maryland got the book thrown at them in the early 90s.....for a few free rides. TV rules now. No Power 5 (or 6 for CBB) will ever get a significant penalty.

Your lips to Godís ears. But I think Kansas is going to get hit hard. And I donít think Memphis will get any further punishment since they didnít play with an ineligible player, they just canít play him (like Kansas never played Billy Preston).
Memphis didnít pay Wiseman, they just hired a guy who helped the family four years ago. I get why he would be ineligible to play there, but I donít see why they deserve any further punishment based on that.

They won't. ESPN has so much money sunk into the B12. Fox too.

People have already forgotten about UNC/L'ville. Same will happen with KU. NCAA is toothless. TV rules.

Hell, last I checked, Sean MIller is still coaching at AZ. You're fretting about NOTHING.

I swear being an Arkansas fan is never easy
59 all after 40 minutes and no one scores an OT point until 22 seconds left when Ga Tech hits a jumper then Mason Jones banks in the winner from 3 with 0.1 left

:thumbsup: When I heard about that result early this morning, I figured it was in one of the neutral site tournaments. But at Cameron??!! -eek-

Saw the stats for Duke - lousy 3-point shooting (which has been the case so far this season) and 16 missed free throws. That's the recipe for a Duke loss.

Also saw a great tweet - SFA and Evansville already have more good road wins than some at-larges will have come March. rotfl

Dayton had their chances in the final minute....should have jacked up the 3 on the earlier possession to force the big fella out earlier. Then couldn't convert the terrible KU in-bound pass. Ugh.

Meanwhile, UVA beat Maine 46-26. God...just take the Under in their games blindfolded. You'll make money. 116 is the high so far.

Decker 11-27-19 07:04 PM

Re: 2019-2020 NCAA Men's Basketball Regular Season Thread

Yeah I was shocked they couldn't convert after that turnover under Dayton basket. Dodged a bullet there. Azubuke is such a mismatch for most teams. He could be dangerous if he stays healthy, stays out of foul trouble and begins to hit his FTs.

While watching a game at the gym, I just saw Dick Vitale do an in-game remote from his hotel balcony and it looked awful, clearly not what they had planned. Is he sick or something.

I am a Michigan fan, and so did I. I like Juwan, but with no head coaching experience, I figured he was a big step down from Beilein. It's early of course, but I'm pleasantly surprised so far.

Doesn't seem like it, but I only paid close attention to MICH/LOU and ND/MD. I still really have no idea how good Maryland is. But the next 3 games should help with that - 3 top-50 KenPom opponents with 2 on the road. Still haven't played a road game.

Can't believe the UVA/PUR game went Over with UVA scoring 40.

Re: 2019-2020 NCAA Men's Basketball Regular Season Thread

Ugh, I'm going to Waco to watch the Arizona/Baylor game on Saturday but Nico Mannion (back) and Josh Green (strep throat) haven't practiced all week and aren't sure to play, and Stone Gettings is out with a concussion and facial fracture. Throw in a morning tip time and the fact that Baylor is literally giving away all the tickets and it's going to be a weird atmosphere and probably a loss. I'm hoping Oklahoma gets out to an early lead in the Big 12 CG to take the energy out of the crowd.
