Lotta mismatches this week and few close games. This night game is okay but I feel GB is beginning to figure things out and Matt Moore just isn't up to what it would take to beat the Pack. Bummer that this is the game Mahomes misses.

The Chiefs would have won if they had Mahomes

I am not a Rams fan but this is amazing

You got to feel for the Buffalo fan base. Just when they thought they had a good team, the real garbage showed up for all the world to see. Sure they might make the playoffs but that is due to a very weak schedule. They will get bounced in the first wild card and leave everyone to wonder about the Maholmes trade.

And if Davante Adams is playing the Packers win by 3 TDs.

Andy Reid did a great job game planning for Matt Moore (who actually played a decent game) thoughas a Packer fan I was definitely relieved when he chose to punt on their last possession. And KC is always a tough place to play especially at night in a marquee prime time game.

NY Jets trade former 6th overall pick Leonard Williams to the Giants for a 3rd round pick in 2020, and 5th in 2021. Despite the fact that those picks have not been selected yet, they somehow already have more career NFL sacks than Williams has had.

The Cowboys has called the Jets about Williams but settled on the cheaper option (Bennett).

Since this isn't the political forum, I'm going to take the opportunity to "fix" your post

Bennett can be a head case but he can still produce. The Pats messed up by trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, i.e. he's a bad fit for a 3-4 defense. He had 9 sacks just a year ago. For a 7th (possibly a 6th), he's a low risk high reward player.

This is just mind boggling to me. Not sure how much goodwill is left from winning the "Coach of the Year" of 2018, but Matt Nagy could meme his way out of town at this rate...

Nagy: 'Zero thought' of trying to get Pineiro closer - NFL.com

After last week's loss in which his team got throttled by the Saints and only ran the ball 7 times the entire game, he claimed that "he's not an idiot" when it comes to running the ball. In this week's post-game press conference, his response to questions regarding how he handled the final 43 seconds of the game was that he had "zero thought of passing the football" and "zero thought of running the football". So instead he chose to just take the fetal position and kneel, then proceeded to lose the game.

I wasn't really watching the game, but I guess on MNF they somehow went 11 minutes between snaps due to a questionable spot and replay?

^ I didn't time it or anything, but it certainly felt like 11 minutes.
With a delay like that you figure there'd be a major injury, field issue or some type of disturbance. But for a replay is just ridiculous.

If you thought this week was bad just wait for next Monday with Cowboys @ Giants another shitty game in primetime.

It seems like in every pro sport we are seeing lesser competitive games(especially MLB).

The NFL might need to rethink the obsession with QB stats because people turn the channel when the game becomes a blowout

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 8

It is becoming like the NFL in the 90s where 95% of the games were blowouts.

Maybe there is a bigger disparity now between the good and bad teams and the AFC outside of the Patriots have a lot of mediocre and incomplete teams and maybe the Patriots will be exposed for feasting on a weak schedule when they play a good NFC team.

The Jets want to move Le'Veon Bell after only half a season?

It would be cool if he joined the Chiefs but Reid probably would put him in a committee.

The Texans probably need him the most.

The Jets are always gonna Jet. Apparently they tried to trade Jamaal Adams behind his back and then lied about it.

In the NBA there are like all kinds of fireworks at the trade deadline. The NFL got Kenyan Drake and an injured Aqib Talib. Granted there was a bunch of movement earlier, mainly the Rams getting Ramsey (which led to them trading their existing corners) and the Dolphins selling every asset they could.

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 8

I just worked a 4 hour trade deadline special for NFL Network this afternoon. Only 1 trade happened. The Talib deal.

Honestly the NFL sucks for trades. It's not like the NBA or MLB where you can have a superstar traded for a superstar or a multi-team deal.

The stupid NFL is so intricate with their offense and defensive coaching system that you can't trade big names midseason because they have to learn new systems.

So the Rams basically gave up their 2 starting CBs from last year's Super Bowl team and a bunch of draft picks to get Jalen Ramsey.

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 8

and I guess no one cares, but Andy Dalton was benched. Rookie QB Ryan Finley will start week 10 vs Ravens.

But, the Bengals are god awful, so they had to do something.

I hope that does not hurt A.J. Green the only think you can care about with the Bengals.

What happened to that Bengals fan who would post photos from all the games he attended in this forum?

He has gone MIA.

Actually it shows the Rams are stupid (Ramsey, heck throw in Gurley). A first and two 2nd is stupid. Cowboys offered a first.

Or maybe the Jets didn't want the Cowboys 32nd pick next year.

Nothing came of the Rashaad Penny trade rumors (Detroit was said to be interested after losing Kerryon). Sorry, b5Erik. At least he got decent playing time when they were showing him off last week.

I'll never understand why Carroll and (particularly) Schottenheimer won't play him more. After his huge game against the Rams last year he was rewarded with fewer carries. It makes no sense. He has a higher per carry average than Carson, and hits more long runs than Carson, so you'd think they would split the carries a little more evenly. I know he's a hard worker with a good attitude, and his per carry average is really good, so I have no idea why they won't give him at least 10 carries a game.

And I don't understand why they didn't trade him since they won't give him the ball. It's like they WANT to make a waste of that first round pick. It's nuts.
