Okay, after maybe the craziest off-seasons in memory, we are finally ready for Tip-Off which begins on Tuesday. Should be a really interesting, fun and exciting season!

Yup, I'll be watching Lakers/Clippers opening night. I'm seeing a movie around 5pm, so I should be home in time for the start of the 2nd quarter.
I didn't realize that Paul George is still recovering from offseason shoulder surgery and is out around 10 games for the Clips.

NBA def need's NFL style flex scheduling for National Games. Zion was the only thing making that NO-TOR game worthy of a nationa spot, now your opening night first national game is 2 teams who best case scenario would be .500 teams

Zion out 6 to 8 weeks after knee surgery. Sucks for Pelicans fans.

Seems like the majority of comments I've read from fans think that Zion is too heavy and needs to drop 25 to 30 pounds or so.
If Zion was 6-10 or 6-11, then his weight would be perfect. But, he's undersized for his position.

Lakers final opening day roster
and Boogie is on it even though he's injured. So he's probably one of the non-active guys.
No surprise Dwight made the team. And the Greek freak's brother made the team too.
It's a beefy roster at 17. So a few of these guys are going to have to play for the South Bay Lakers.

<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>Duke listing Zion Williamson at 6-7, 285 pounds. Would make him the 2nd heaviest player in the NBA, behind Boban, who's 7-3, 290, per https://t.co/2AVHWqlPKh. https://t.co/tzKcvs3p10

Ya, I'll happily take that bet. Raptors did lose a huge piece but they are still a playoff team with what they have. Def would love to take that bet. Pelicans probably a .500 at best even with Zion though.

I had the NBA last year with Amazon and they didn't have the National TV replays so I went with DTV this season.
I am having trouble, however signing in with A T & T online(haven't been able since I came back to DTV 6 months ago) so I can also stream the games with the Roku NBA app.

They were talking about Zion yesterday on PTI and I have to agree with them. He can jump so high, it's unreal, but the legs and most importantly his knees take the impact of all of his weight coming down. For his knees sake, he really needs to shed some pounds or this will be a reoccurring injury. This is the same knee that he injured at Duke when he blew out one of his shoes.

You say that like a team made up of former Lakers draft picks can't reach .500 or something.

Pelicans GM thinks it's asinine for anyone who thinks Zion's weight is causing his knee injuries.

Re: 2019-2020 NBA Regular Season Thread
Tracy McGrady just said on NBA the Jump that Zion is way too big and needs to drop some weight. He said he's not out of shape, but just all that weight he carries for his style of play is going to be detrimental in the long run. He thinks he needs to drop 20-30 pounds.
Also, T-Mac said with him being out 6-8 weeks, he needs to be on a strict diet or he could balloon in weight because he can't run, jump or exercise.

Maybe it's not causing the injury he has now but that much weight jumping as high as he can get will definitely result in knee/ankle issues later on. The question is, how long can his joints last.
