Talent trumps crazy yet again!

$9 million signing bonus, up to $15 million potential. 1 year deal.

Video of him finding out he was released:

Yup. This was all planned. He never wanted to be in Oakland. What a fucking asshole.

I not making fun of him, but he seems like he's not all there. Who would celebrate losing $30 million dollars? New England deserves everything they get from him and more.

Iím sure that was his plan all along. Whine his way to the team he wanted to get traded to. Now watch him put up historic numbers. Glad he didnít end up in San Francisco.

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 1

So basically Gruden gave Chicago a SB-level defense, greatly improved the struggling passing game of the Cowboys, and now gives the defending Super Bowl champs a go to receiver right when they lost their best receiving threat. All in two years. The dude is like exec of the year (for everyone else).

It's like that one fantasy owner who just says screw it and drops all his best players on the wire, screwing up the rest of the league.

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 1

He will basically make the same amount of money this year without putting in the preseason work like the rest of the players. He never intended to play for the Raiders. Every bit of the blame for this situation is at his feet.

Definitely some shady shit going on in this AB deal. Of course thatís nothing new for New England.

I would bet that the clown show ends here and he kills it with the Patriots.

You would think they would at least wait like a day to announce the deal (I don't think he's eligible to play tomorrow, is he?). But nope, not even pretending this wasn't planned all along.

He is not available tomorrow. He had to have been on a roster today at 4pm for him to play. Too bad since it is PIT.

I think Goodell should set up a meeting with Gruden and have a long talk.

Wonder if he is on the take from other teams in the NFL?

This makes the Raiders look bad and if they offer top dollar who is going to sign with them?

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 1

The Pats and Belicheck should be investigated since they must have known that they could get AB and they probably gave him tips on how to become a asshat and get released.

Unless you are referring to the AB saga, I think you posted in the wrong thread.

I bet this was planned out. What is Oakland doing? Same with the Texans.

If he starts acting normal in NE, this is going to suck, even though I not a fan of either team.

This sucks. If AB racks up the stats for the Patriots while behaving like a choirboy, then weíll know it wasnít CTE but 4-D chess.

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 1

The only thing the Raiders did wrong was trade for him in the first place. Everything else is on him. Also, Mack wanted a king's ransom to stay but I still would have signed him. Amari Cooper, on the other hand, played like a third rate receiver for the Raiders. I also think signing Gruden to his ridiculous deal was unwarranted to begin with.

Anyone that has AB on their fantasy team will benefit. I bet he scores at least three touchdowns the first game he plays in.

Yep. And if this whole thing went down the way I suspect it went down, it sets a TERRIBLE precedent for players/teams in the future.

Re: 2019 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 1

Brown says he is now ready to work hard and fit in with the Patriots. Why couldn't he do that for the Raiders? Simple answer is that he didn't want to. This guy is not a professional.
