Yes very good chance.
Jeffery was questionable and Carson looks like crap, might be injured again.

At least you likely got Brees in a middle round. If Brees is out for a while Michael Thomas owners are going to be on suicide watch, especially in non PPR.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2019

After a good 5-2 start last week, I'm going to go 2-5 this week. Getting a -.5 from Brees in one league cost me a win. If I had gotten 10 points from my QB position, I would I have won. I'm going to try to trade for Kyler Murray. I don't have a backup QB in that league....

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2019

I got offered Cook and Ryan for Zeke. With Brees out and Cam as my backup, I’ll need a starting QB. Can Cook maintain his stud factor or should I ride Zeke and the fact he’s on what seems to be a pretty good Cowboys team? I really don’t like Matt Ryan and his inconsistency.

Obviously there are concerns with both Cook and Ryan, but if the former stays healthy, itíd be like getting Ryan for free. Zeke is so reliable, though. I assume there are no good waiver options (not even sure who those would be right now).

Just shows the randomness of FF. Iíve gotten nothing out of Tyreek Hill, but he was probably in a cluster of receivers available around the turn of the first round including Julio Jones.

Sorry about one of those losses.

Barring negative points from Mayfield tonight or a stat correction that causes a 5+ point swing, I'll be 4-0 this week.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2019

This is the bench for one of my fantasy teams:
Sterling Shepherd Out
Tyreek Hill Out
Tevin Coleman Out
Sam Darnold Out

Combine that with Drew Brees as my starting QB.....

I lost by .36 points. Had OBJ and was down nearly 30. Gave me hope and then crushed me. Hahaha

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2019

I traded Tyrell Williams for Kyler Murray in a league that I had Brees in. I still have Juju, Lockett, Kirk, and Shepard at WR. I'm going to try to pick up McLaurin or Robertson on waivers and drop Shepherd. You're limited to only being able to carry 5 WRs in that league at one time and the trade won't process until after waivers. I may try to pick Shepard back up again. The owner wanted Lockett, Wiiliams, or Josh Jacobs for Murray. I went with trading Williams since I didn't draft a backup QB and the best QB on the waiver wire was Andy Dalton. I didn't want to roll with the Red Rifle until week 11.

I would kill as a Brees owner if Stafford was available on the waiver wire.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2019

I hate trying to work out trades. I need a QB in a couple leagues due to injuries and people have been asking me for David Johnson in exchange for Jared Goff or Josh Jacobs for Matthew Stafford. There's no freaking way that I'm doing those trades. I'll just stream QBs for the rest of the season rather than deal with that.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2019

I lost in my dynasty league, but actually don't feel bad about it. I had a bad week and still scored 109 points. Hopkins having a down game and starting Miles Sanders over Matt Breida backfired, but I'm the top scorer through two weeks and easily have the deepest roster in the league.
I'm very confident with this roster going forward:
QB Wentz and Rivers
RB Cook, Jacobs, Breida, Sanders
WR Hopkins, Godwin, Ross III, Kirk, McLaurin
TE Engram, Waller

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2019

Team 1 (0-2): Lost 137.3-67.7 and am last in the league with 124.6 total points. The leader has 258.4, and the next-worst has 168.8. So far I’ve gotten 6.5 total points out of my first two picks, Tyreek and Mixon, and my next two, Kerryon Johnson and Thielen, haven’t set the world on fire either. Fortunately my bench reinforcements include Dante Pettis, Donte Moncrief, and Dion Lewis!

Team 2 (1-1): Lost 85.24-78.80, getting zip from Njoku and one from Prater. I have Tyreek and Pettis in this league too. The good news is that David Montgomery had a bigger load this week after I swapped him out for James White, who saved his line with a junk TD.

Team 3 (2-0): Won 144.86-113.74, and lead the league with 323.06 total points. Of course my best team is my only free team. Dak, OBJ, Cooper, Le’Veon, Jacobs, Boyd, and Andrews are my starters, and oddly this is my only league without Tyreek! I did pick up Demarcus Robinson, who will probably be no good at all, but what the heck.

Thatís the worst. I was trailing by 12, but OBJ and LeíVeon combined for 44. In one league I lost by six, but my lineup change only cost me four so itís not like I was kicking myself.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2019

Njoku left with a concussion and now has a broken wrist and will be out at least a month, and I have him in a couple leagues. One has two IR slots, but I already have Tyreek and Darnold on there. I already picked up a backup TE so technically I don’t have to make a move, but I was flipping a coin between Hockenson and Waller and ended up with the wrong one. In the second league, I picked up Dissly this week just in case and don’t mind rolling with him to see how it goes.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2019

Who would you rather own DeMarcus Robinson or Mecole Hardman?

Hardman is the more added guy on Yahoo but it seems Mahomes trusts Robinson the veteran more.

They both had the exact same number of targets. Robinson had more points last week but Hardman had like a 70 yard catch negated by holding. It's basically a toss up at this point, I don't think you can say definitively either way.

That said, I went with Robinson so you should probably take Hardman.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2019

For years, my friends league reset waivers every week based on reverse total points, meaning the same teams would get first shot every time. I advocated for not constantly resetting to give other teams a chance if they used strategy, and that change finally went through this year, now that I’m averaging 60 ppg. So this week I was eighth of 12 and put in random bids for DRobinsin, Hardman, and Mattison and figured I’d see what I got, and I got them all. I guess that’s what happens when every other team in the league is good. I also took a flyer on Mostert. Plus the owner who dropped Cam last week picked him up again.
