I'm predicting that the Patriots will take the Super Bowl but I will be rooting for the Rams.

I fully recognize how much the rest of the country hates the Patriots at this point. That being said....

BEAT LA!!!!

One of the few SBs where I don't have an overwhelming preference for who wins. I'm ever so slightly rooting for the Rams - just to have the city of L.A. win their first SB.

Rooting for the Rams. Last year I didn't bother watching the Super Bowl, probably won't again this year.

Pats fan, lifelong, but was rooting for the Chiefs yesterday as a Chiefs/Rams SB would have been awesome (and I have always liked Andy Reid). However, since we can't have that, I shall revert to the norm and root for the Pats.

Huh?

You're a lifelong Pats fan but were rooting for another team to beat them? I can't wrap my head around that.

I like how angry people get when Tom Brady is successful, so go Pats.

I think that first SB title for LA will always belong to the Raiders.

Predicting Refs win, but for rooting for Rams to shove it in Spanos face. Game will probably be background noise.

I explained why. Try reading my post again. Also, being a "lifelong fan of X" does not in any way presuppose that you will root for X under all circumstances. Plus, you know, the Pats in the Superbowl does start to get old, even for some Pats fans.

I don't like either team but I hope nd pray the Rams win. I can't stomach another Pats Super Bowl win.

Hmmm... for some reason I thought they won both while in Oakland. My memory is playing tricks with me as I get older.

Rooting for the Rams and I think they will win. One, they can run the ball, two, their D matches up better against the Pats than the Chiefs D. They have much better corners, and although the Chiefs are better rushing off the edge, the Rams will get better inside push (Donald, Suh) which is more likely to affect Brady and also disrupt the run.

If people think this is bad wait until 2019 when it is Cowboys vs Patriots in Super Bowl 54 in Tampa.

A new factor: will they open the roof at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Super Bowl Sunday? Weather.com long range forecast calls for PM showers in Atlanta, GA area, and that means the roof will stay closed.

I think the roof stays closed if its 75 degrees and sunny.

I think people are just sick of him/Patriots, just like I am sort of sick of the Golden State Warriors winning the NBA Title every year as I love variety in my sports. I totally respect what Brady/Belichik have done as it has been an amazing run that rivals the Walsh/Seifert/Montana/Young 49ers Era from 1981-1998 of 5 Superbowls and 16 out of 17 winning seasons. But once my team is out of it, I like to see some new blood in the championship when I watch sports.

Re: 2018 NFL Playoffs - Super Bowl LIII - February 3rd, 2019

Will be interesting to see if Rams money comes in as it's all Pats money so far (line opened at LA -1 and quickly moved to NE -2.5). I suppose sharps are waiting for it to go to 3. If it does, it probably won't stay there long. If the betting disparity keeps up, I'd pick LA.

I did take Under 58.5 yesterday when I passed by one of the Delaware casinos.

Yep. No chance they open the roof.

So bad it would become the most watched SB ever!

Didn't the Rams beat the Titans just a few years ago?

Oops, guess my memory was faulty.... Tennessee apparently won that game with the last-minute Dyson score.

The city of LA didn't win that Super Bowl... the Rams were in St. Louis. Look closely - I said "city", not "franchise".
But I was wrong anyway, since I forgot the Raiders were in LA the last time they won the SB - not in Oakland.

Re: 2018 NFL Playoffs - Super Bowl LIII - February 3rd, 2019

I just have zero interest in watching another Patriots Super Bowl. Even potential schadenfreude isn't a compelling reason anymore, because the Eagles already beat them last year. Why risk wasting 3+ hours hoping for a Patriots loss, which at this point is only barely more satisfying than a Patriots win
Every Brady/Bill SB has been really close in score.Still going to pass.Really hope the Rams win.
Lots of talking heads say the Pats cheated the Rams out of first SB they played against each other.
