Who on the Pats besides Brady has been there for the most Superbowls? I was trying to find a list but couldn't. I thought Gronk had been there for a lot of them.

29 years later I am still pissed about that 1990 NFC title game.

Montana took a beating when he played and he would have been better than Brady if he played with todays rules

I think McDaniels has been there for all six.
Gronk, Edelman, McCourty, Hightower have three. James White might have 3 as well

Joe Thuney (OG) has 2 but has also played in 3 Super Bowls in his first 3 years.

I think Patrick Chung, David Andrews and Shaq Mason have 2

Gostkowski should have at least 3 as well.

Thankfully had the Under. Talk about never sweating a bet. Wish they were all that easy.

Goff was terrible. He's pretty much been bad to mediocre ever since the shootout with KC.

Yup, there are (IIRC) only two active players that have 4 or more rings, Brady with 6 and Adam Vinatieri with four. Which, of course, reminds me of this ESPN SportsCenter ad:

Interesting that Sean McVay chose to run the same offense in the Super Bowl that got Mike McCarthy fired in Green Bay.

Re: 2018 NFL Playoffs - Super Bowl LIII - February 3rd, 2019

Brady went through Mahomes and both LA teams. Man I knew it was trouble when Belichick stymied the Chiefs offense with just one week of preparation, and had two for the Rams. For all the talk about doubling Edelman, the Rams defense did exactly what they had to do, and if the Rams had somehow pulled it out, I would have favored giving the mvp to Hekker because he was the most active Rams player.

So people think Gurley was hurt? They still aren't admitting to that, and it just seems really weird.

Adam Schefter reported on facebook Chiefs vs. Patriots will be likely be the game to open next season just like two years ago.

Also the Super Bowl ratings hit a 10 year low last night.

Rumor is the NFL will be featuring Bears/Packers as the Thursday Night kickoff game due to it being the 100th season and all that. Not that the Pats didn't earn the right to host, it's just that it's the league's centennial.

I knew the Patriots were likely going to be Super Bowl champs when they dismantled and manhandled that Chargers team. That was a very good Chargers team with balance on both sides of the ball.

The unsung heroes of this year's Patriots is the O-line. That is legendary stuff I haven't seen since the Cowboys or Redskins back in the 1990s.

Quite a few people I know who are huge football fans had no interest in watching another Patriots Super Bowl. I'm sure the second half is used to losing audience. People have to get up for work. People leave parties. But a snoozefest like that I almost turned it off. But I still had faith the Rams would eventually find a way to get a touchdown. Shows you why I am not a football analyst.

I'm sure that's due to all the kneeling that happened this season.

This was the first Super Bowl since the late 70s (when I started following football as a kid) that I didn't watch a single second of. I may have hated the Patriots years ago, but I don't anymore. I just have no interest in seeing them play in the Super Bowl anymore.

I wonder why the Niners traded Trent Brown to the Pats and the Pats O line dominated this season.

Then again that is why they have not made the playoffs since 2013 and are one of the laughstocks in the league.

I donít know about laughingstocks anymore. They lost their starting QB and RB in the first three weeks of the year. Then even after the rash of further injuries, they werenít losing games like 42-7 every week. They were surprisingly competitive. With their starters back next year and possibly Brown joining them, they could make noise.

I remember the Giants/Bills 1991 Superbowl was 20-19 as the Giants Defense really held their own against that high powered offense. It's was still entertaining SB (along with the last second missed FG) because watching Lawrence Taylor was just entertaining as watching Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas. I keep saying the rules have ruined the game because it is all underneath stuff and Brady has mastered it. He just throws that 8-12 yard pass across the middle to Edelman or Gronk the whole game because the LB's can't touch the receivers anymore, or put a big hit on them (Receivers used to fear catching the ball through the middle because you knew you were going to get hit.) The game also has very few RB's like Eric Dickerson, Barry Sanders, Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson, etc (that you would pay to watch cause they would break one every game), as they were just as entertaining as a great QB too. So what we got yesterday was a boring, repetitive game of the Patriots running the ball to some no name RB's, and short passing every down to Edelman and Gronk.
One of the better hits in the game was when the Rams tackled the screen pass behind the line of scrimmage on second and long, but of course it was called a penalty. I guess youíre supposed to not tackle the guy or wait until you have enough space to tackle him lower.

But the Rams and Seahawks are still better than them and have more talent.

Maybe Goff is gone once his rookie deal expires if he continues to struggle or be mediocre?

He is not costing them a lot in cap money.

I think they can upgrade at that position and he might be holding them back.

I was confused on that as well. They said something about not giving the guy time to make a football move therefore he was considered a defenseless player. But you see receivers get leveled all the time just as they are catching the ball.

A "defenseless receiver" is supposed to be one in the act of catching the ball. His hands are up in the air and/or his body is. I'm sorry, but you're not "defenseless" if you have both feet on the ground and the ball tucked away in your arms. Disagree with the ref CBS had in the booth on this one.
