2018 NFL Playoffs - Wild Card Round 01/05/2019 and 01/06/2019

Let's not give Jackson too much credit. One of those passes was a bit of a miracle and he also just barely avoided a pick. There has been an awful lot of luck just to get the Ravens to this point. He may have made post-game life much easier for Harbaugh, however.

No doubt. Not much different than the "luck" that got them into the playoffs in the first place.

It's over.
Ravens looked like total crap. Shouldn't have even been in the playoffs, but the NFL gave them a nice "push" to get them there.

Finishing 6-1 (to include a very close loss to the Chiefs) and icing the last game with a pick isn't all that lucky, IMHO. Their biggest stroke of luck was Pittsburgh being so dysfunctional (not to mention losing to both Denver and Oakland) late in the season.

Either way, bad news Bears fans. I am now 0-3 in my picks and I picked the Bears. The Eagles will now win.

I'm all about whoever can beat the Patriots. Hard to imagine the Ravens giving the Pats much of a fight after watching today.

It was clear to me they were never going to bench Jackson. If not in this game after that disastrous three quarters, you were never bringing in Flacco for any reason but injury. Jackson was more or less exposed. As Romo pointed out, the Browns figured out last week late in the game how to handle Jackson and the Chargers copied it. His throws look absolutely terrible. Jackson is a major project that will need to re-work all his throwing mechanics.
The Chargers played incredibly conservatively, running most first and second downs. That almost cost them the game. Gordon doesn't look 100% healthy.

NFL has no fucking clue about it's own rules anymore.

So according to "rules experts" the rule on that fumble/no catch was applied correctly there based on the rule book, but it's a terrible rule.

The ruling they made was the most fair thing they could have done, regardless of what the rulebook says. It would have been monumentally unfair to give the Bears the ball at the spot of the fumble. The chances of Philly recovering that ball had the play stayed live were about 99.9%.
