Revisionist history, but that Cousins trade didn't turn out too badly for the Kings, considering what the Pelicans got out of Cousins and how Hield has been playing as late.

Nice game by Kuzma and the Lakers against a reeling Pistons team. Beasley has looked real good too.

I was looking at Hield's stats the other day and sorta thought the same thing from the Pelicans POV. They could sure use a shooter like Hield right now.

Sounds like LeBron is very close to coming back. Good, they need him

I wonder if he gets voted into the All-Star game if he will skip it or play very minimal minutes.

We won't (I assume you mean as starters, because the coaches aren't going to pick them). When Zaza almost made the all star starting squad a few years ago they changed it so that the fan vote is only half of how starters are chosen, with the players and a media panel having 25% each.

I didn't realize you could vote for 10 nba players per day via google (search for "nba vote" or "nba allstar vote"

Lakers down by ten to the worst team in the league. These guys are talented. What’s with the terrible play as of late? Yeah, a few injuries, but the Cavs have won 8 games all year. Is it Walton? Not enough discipline?

Re: 2018-2019 NBA Regular Season Thread

LeBron's already missed 10 games and a report I saw something that says he's in no hurry to come back. He wants to be absolutely 100% healthy. He could be another week or so. They are currently 3-6 without him.

If the Lakers collapse and fall out of playoff contention, Walton will likely be fired IMO. I'm sure Magic and Pelinka fully expect to make the playoffs this season.

Yeah, this is a bad one. No excuse not to beat the Cavs.

Didnít they have to rally to beat them in Cleveland and that was with LeBron. And they lost to the Knicks at home who had won what nine games all year at the time?

LBJ is supposed to be back for OKC on Thursday. They need him bad. And someone like Anthony Davis would be great.

3-7 without LeBron. Not good.

and they've gone from being as high as the 5-6 seed to barely hanging on to the 8th spot. Jazz, Kings and Wolves are creeping up on them,

Haven't kept up; is he still out for that groin pull that was supposed to be no issue that kept him out about a week?

Yes same groin strain from the national game against the Warriors a few weeks ago.

Capela out 4-6 weeks.

Houston Rockets' Clint Capela out 4-6 weeks with thumb injury

That should hurt the Rockets a lot, but Harden has been a beast the last month so I wonder how he'll keep up. Well, most missed 3's in a game not withstanding

If he's going to score 57 points each game I think they'll be fine.

Re: 2018-2019 NBA Regular Season Thread

As great as LeBron is, this sort of thing had me worried when LA signed him. His body has a lot of basketball miles on it. He's been to the finals, what, eight straight years? A couple of Olympic teams. I hope this isn't the start of his body starting to break down after everything he's been through. Not only for him and his family's sake, for the team as well.

Re: 2018-2019 NBA Regular Season Thread

If the Lakers lose to the Bulls tonight (the 2nd worst team in the East) I pretty much guarantee Walton will be fired by the end of the week if not sooner. And I think they will let B-Shaw be the Interim head coach.

But, Walton is on really shaky grounds right now.

Well, looks like they are going to pull this out. Can’t say it was a great win because the Bulls are horrible.

Now they need LeBron back for this upcoming road trip.

Wow they won, but they nearly choked in the final minute. That was pretty embarrassing. The Bulls didn’t give up. I give them credit.

It's a weird dynamic: Magic and Rob didn't hire Luke and nobody really seems to know what LeBron thinks of him. I doubt anyone would fire him if LBJ wants him to stay. Wonder who is out there to bring in. Would they go after Calipari? Might that help them land AD?
