F yeah!

My sports teams are the Mets, the Jets, and the Devils (I don't follow basketball). All I ask of the Mets is to keep me interested until the Jets' season starts. They failed. Then I just ask the Jets to keep me interested until I have to start watching hockey. So......let's go Devils!

Deb Placey no longer works for MSG TV(NJ Devils). Possibly the best in between periods host of any team in the NHL with the exception of HNIC .

Props to Marchand for putting a righteous shit-kicking on Lars Eller. When your team is up 7-0, you don't go past the opponents bench and gloat. People give Marchand crap all the time, but this time he was completely justified. And I'm pretty sure Eller has like 20+ lbs on him...But he kicked the piss out of that gloating bitch. Fuck Eller.

It took OT for the Leafs to beat the Habs yesterday. As much as most "experts" believe they are Stanley Cup favorites, their defensive shortcomings were obvious last night and will struggle in the playoffs if they don't rectify it.

Going to my first-ever banner-raising tonight. Can't wait! Will probably post a picture here later.

And they have announced that these are now available from the DMV. As if there's even an icicle's chance in Hell that I might not get one....

I had to listen to the game on TuneIn.

Just got NHL.TV so I won't miss anymore Leaf games.

Don't think their goaltending will hold up.

If the NHL keeps this stat,I would love too know 3rd period team GAA. The Leafs over the years have given up more third period goals than anyone and I can't see being any different this season.

How come Vegas doesn't put their AHL team in Reno?

I guess for now they are in Chicago so getting players too Las Vegas shouldn't be a problem but overall I think it would be better for a team in Reno.

I would think if Seattle gets an NHL team it would only make sense to put their AHL team in Portland ,OR but knowing that nothing make's sense it's more than likely be Portland,ME.

Re: Official 2018-2019 NHL Regular Season Thread

I've always been kind of neutral when it came to TJ Oshie; thought he was an okay player, but nothing special. Only found out today what an absolute f**king moron he is. Doesn't have smarts. Basically defended Tom Wilson and then argued that what Marchand did was much worse and Marchand should be suspended 20 games, just like Wilson got. WHAT? Quit being a baby, Oshie. Your teammate scored the seventh goal in a rout, and then went by and taunted the opposing team's bench. Then, as is customary, he got his stupid ass handed to him on his next shift. That's not nearly the same as Tom Wilson purposely attempting to take people's heads off and end careers. If someone did what Eller did to the Capitals bench during a rout, I'm sure Oshie would be singing a different tune. I understand him wanting to stand up for a teammate, but this is NOT the instance you want to do that. Eller was stupid. Marchand was justified. And if it wasn't Marchand, it would've been someone else. I doubt Eller taunts an opponent's bench like that again...Lesson learned...Shut up, Oshie...I hope someone kicks your ass next game you crybaby...

Re: Official 2018-2019 NHL Regular Season Thread

If Nylander doesn't want to sign and I'm the Leafs, I say let him sit out the season. If he doesn't sign by Dec 1, he can't play anyway. Let him sit out the season. Maybe trade him next summer, but just let him sit for a season and see how he likes that. He's 22. Averages 60+ points a year. Is apparently asking for $8 million or so per season for 6-8 years. Let him sit. His dad is the one advising him on this (remember when his dad backed out of going to Edmonton because his wife didn't want to go there? Apparently the nightlife there wasn't good enough for her). Let him stay in Sweden. Do NOT trade him until next summer. Then he'll learn some humility. Plus, I just don't think he's worth $8 million a year. He's a great hockey player, but I haven't seen anything that shows that he's a superstar. And the Leafs already have a good team, that is pretty much guaranteed to make the playoffs and potentially go deep. They don't need Nylander (no matter what he thinks). Would he help them? Yes. Is he worth breaking the bank? No. Especially when the Leafs will have to give long-term extensions to Marner and Matthews next year...Both of whom are way more important to the Leafs than Nylander...So keep listening to your dad, kid...Have fun when you're eventually traded to Columbus or Carolina...or some other small market...

Well that opening game was a real stinker. Philly kicked our asses and sent Flower to the Showers. At least the opening was pretty cool (even though they didn't raise the banners but rather just put a spotlight on them in the rafters).

Watching highlights of the Devils/Oilers game, I'm guessing they moved the boards in for the North American-sized ice surface?

Through 2 games the reanimated corpse of Jonathan Toews has been fun to watch.

He’s 1/5 of the way to matching his goal total from last season

I tried AHL.TV and they were too many video freeze-ups and I am trying to get a full refund.

If they don't give me my money back then I will contact my bank.
