Nice comeback win by the Leafs but Matthews’ injury dampen the celebration. Hoping that is not a long term injury but it looked like it was his shoulder again.

First time I watch the Habs this year and I'm like "who are these players?"

They were supposed to suck but they've been pretty good. Domi has 5 goals already and he had 10 all year last year.

Sharks beat the Ducks in OT last night which is good, but they seem to be making of a habit of blowing 3rd period leads.

Have the Blues fired Jake Allen and Mike Yeo yet?

Blackhawks fire coach Joel Quenneville. I guess winning three Stanley Cups only gets you so far.

Re: Official 2018-2019 NHL Regular Season Thread

Carcillo needs to STFU.

The best description Iíve seen of this is thatís itís possible to both be long past the time for Q to move on, but also say he was scapegoated by the FO.

Yes he won 3 cups, but he still tries to play the same system with a roster that canít do it anymore and his PP units have been dumpster fires which is inexcusable when youíve had the talent theyíve had.

Watching guys he jerked around like Kempny and Teuvo prosper probably hasnít helped his cause.

Morons. He won't be out of a job long...Some team will scoop him up within the next few weeks, in my mind...I'd love to see the Flames land him...

And, yes, Stan Bowman needs to go...He should've been the person they fired...

@STLBlueshistory

Looking more and more likely the Pens are going to miss the playoffs. They are a mess.

According to The Athletic's projection dated yesterday, they have a 72% chance of making the Playoffs. That's still pretty likely.

Hope the Knights have begun to turn things around now. Finally won two in a row and I'm going to my first game there in a month tonight. Tough match-up against the Sharks after playing yesterday afternoon. Hope we are at least competitive. A win against them would really help in the crowded Pacific Division standings.

Iíll take your word for it, but historically, in the salary cap era, roughly 20% of teams out of the playoffs at Thanksgiving actually make the playoffs.

And the Blues follow up last night's impressive win over Nashville, by getting thrashed by Winnipeg.

Patrick Laine becomes the first player in several years to score five goals in a game.

Man, that was a fun game tonight in Vegas. A 6-0 beat-down of San Jose. Game winning goal scored 14 seconds in by William Karlsson. Flower with back-to-back shutouts on consecutive nights. That has to be a pretty rare occurrence. Finally at .500 (12-12-1) -- I think we are in playoff position now as the 8-seed. Didn't get there by Thanksgiving, but made it that weekend. Hoping that we are part of the 20%.

Re: Official 2018-2019 NHL Regular Season Thread

I just realized Iíve been a bit remiss in my posting this season since Iím a Knights season ticket holder.

The back to back shutouts by Fleury over the weekend put us in 3rd place behind the two teams we just dominated. The Knights are back!

We have a promotion here that gives fans a free dozen of Krispy Kreme donuts after every shutout. If everyone redeemed their tickets, they were on the hook for over 400,000 donuts last weekend! I still had half of Fridayís batch left when I went back Sunday morning for another dozen. Does Krispy Kreme run this promotion in other NHL cities?

Mathews is all set for a return to the Maple Leafs lineup and according to Coach Babcock he expects Nylander(unsigned) also to return to the team.
