Looks like Trevor Lawrence is no Tua. Got knocked out and injured before the half and Clemson trailing.

Syracuse up 16-7 over Clemson at the half. Clemson's new starting QB Trevor Lawrence took a hit in the 2nd qtr. and hasn't returned to the game. Former starting QB Kelly Bryant quitting the team will be huge factor if Lawrence can't return.

Clemson survives.

But this is why I like CFB. Win out and no problem.

Syracuse...two possessions while leading in the final minutes of the game and they ran 10 plays taking a whopping 2 minutes and change off the game clock, routinely snapping the ball with 25 seconds left on the play clock. And naturally Clemson comes back to take the lead with under a minute remaining.

I understand the thought behind a high pace offense against Clemson but just maybe sometimes you have to adjust to the game situation.

Crazy finish though...looked like Texas Tech was going to come back to force OT until their QB bizarrely threw a pick-6 while trying to throw to a wide open receiver.

What a shitty call by Penn St. 2 timeouts and that's what you come up with?

Mississippi State loses and Ole Miss is getting beat down right now. Once again, I find myself feeling sorry for the whole state. In the past 20 years, each has only had two seasons with 10 or more wins. That's historical SEC futility that only Kentucky and Vanderbilt can beat, although Tennessee has been amazingly bad for the past decade or so.

Georgia is now #2 in both polls. Ohio State is #3 and Clemson falls to #4.

I was hoping Ohio State might jump to #2, at least for a bit, since they beat a ranked team, but if I'm honest, there's no reason as of now to believe they'll compete with Georgia, so I'm fine with this. Hopefully the Buckeyes can hold serve, though, so they don't have to face the Fighting Sabans first if they make it to the Playoff. (And yes, I know how that turned out last time.)
