Awesome match-ups this week. I'll be bouncing back and forth between the two early games.

Horrible schedule of NFL games for the Detroit TV area:
Detroit @ San Francisco
Kansas City @ Pittsburgh
New England @ Jacksonville

I need to check the MLB schedule. Hopefully better games.

Left wondering what you would consider a good AFC match-up. Each a good bet to win their division.

I'm hoping for an upset, but Sunday will probably be the Chiefs first loss of the year.

First year Hall of Fame nominees :
Tony Gonzalez
London Fletcher
Champ Bailey
Ed Reed

I wouldn't be shocked if they all made it. All 102 nominees are listed here

Apparently, you've never watched them in a Super Bowl.

Reed, Bailey, and Gonzales are obvious picks, I think they all make it first ballot. Not so sure about Fletcher.

Tonight's game is an NFL Network exclusive. Are Buck and Aikman calling it? I assume they are since this is technically the 1st TNF even if it's not on FOX.

I assume it will be televised locally in Baltimore and Cincinnati.

Yep.

https://www.bengals.com/news/thursda...-in-cincinnati

Play-by-play announcer Joe Buck and analyst Troy Aikman, along with sideline reporters Erin Andrews and Kristina Pink call the action from Cincinnati. Additionally, FOX's NFL Rules expert Mike Pereira joins to give explanations on officiating and rules throughout the game.

At 6 p.m. on NFL Network, NFL GameDay Kickoff previews the Ravens-Bengals matchup, with host Colleen Wolfe and analysts Michael Irvin, Steve Smith Sr. and Reggie Bush live from inside Paul Brown Stadium. Outside the stadium, host Dan Hellie and analyst LaDainian Tomlinson join for additional coverage leading up to kickoff.

Sarcasm here ?

Lions game might be awful but I hope it is because Jimmy G is kicking ass.

I think the Steelers will win since the Steelers own the Chiefs and it seems natural for Mahomes to come back to earth in his second road start.

Another lame Giants vs Cowboys game on SNF. Yes they are big markets but neither team made the playoffs in 2017.

Steelers and Chiefs are prime examples of a sports league having too many divisions.

Oh look ...the Steelers finished first

or look...they beat out crap bag teams Baltimore,Cincinnati and Cleveland

...that's the same as winning an IQ contest against the Three Stooges.

Every year the NFL has 8 (not 1 or 2 ..fucking 8 teams...that's the same number of teams that occupied the AL and NL for over a half a century) teams finish in first place.

bottom line: Chiefs vs Steelers(no big deaL) in a league that finishing in first is no big deal.

Reed and Gonzales better be 1st ballot guys. A good year to get in one each of the RB's and WR's that have been waiting.

Re: 2018 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 2

Green Bay Packer season ticket wait list update: Moved up about 300 spots this year. At this pace not sure if I will get them within my lifetime. It also means my kids --- who were all put on the list as newborns -- will probably not get to the top of the list until they also qualify for AARP. Not joking. My only hope is that by the time names ahead of me come up after what will be a 50+ year wait a lot of them will not...ahem...respond to the call for whatever non-morbid reason. Crazy to think the current list is about 5X longer than when I signed up. Good luck with that.

Jesus... you might wanna cover A.J. Green. I know he's an unknown receiver and hasn't done anything in the NFL, but you should keep an eye on him just in case.

One team in our league started Dalton and Green--45 points for them in the first half.

Dalton has 4 TD passes and Green has 3 TD receptions. All they need to do is build up more passing/receiving yards without even scoring TDs, and that Fantasy team has a nice head start for the week.

The game isn't boring at least. Glad the Ravens scored before the half was over. Don't want this to be a blowout.

Aikman was throwing bombs “If the Bengals offensive live can’t protect Andy Dalton, Walt Anderson certainly will”

It would be better than your show. I know you are bitter since the Raiders have only one playoff appearance since 2002.

I assume when FOX comes in the fold for TNF in two weeks they will spruce up the graphics and have a big opening with new theme music and they won't use the same score graphics that they do on a FOX Sunday broadcast.
