At first I thought it was Karl Fredericks (who came out first) but it was Devin Danger who wrestles locally for Big Time Wrestling here in Northern California.

Big Time Wrestling have already released a statement in which they noted his suspension.

Re: The 2018 Pro Wrestling Thread.

Why is Impact still operating? It's a joke of a promotion at this point.

EDIT: It's more of a joke of a promotion now than at any other point.

WWE Network just added 38 episodes of WCW Saturday Night(all expect for one are from 1992).

WWE Network will stream the 50 man Royal Rumble from Saudi Arabia. That's pretty cool

Re: The 2018 Pro Wrestling Thread.

Since when do they do a pre-match photo op?

Listen, I know they are supposed to build up the heels and all but making Rhonda look weak (umm, you know, outside of the mic work) not really a good idea. Oy!

One thing I will say, Rhonda's character may have looked weak, but her butt looked phenomenal in those spandex leggings.

Re: The 2018 Pro Wrestling Thread.

I'm ok with the long build for Bailey/Banks if because they don't get a one on one Mania match they are the final two in the Battle Royal. Just puts one more thing on the line.

You know, you watch wrestling long enough you start to wonder if we have really hit the wall on originality sometimes. Case in point, this match. You know Bailey wins, heels come in for beat down, Sasha makes the save, "best friends" have turmoil and fight, heels take advantage.

Also, at this point, I think a shock akin to the streak being beaten is if Reigns actually loses Sunday

Yeah. My kids think I'm psychic with how often I tell them what's going to happen before it happens, lol.

I'm not a big Reigns fan but at this point I just want him to win so we can put this awful story behind us. The first Roman/Brock match was three years ago(!). I thought Seth cashing in during that match was brilliant but had I known we'd still be lurching our way through this story three years later I don't think I would have been as excited.

Let's just get this over with so we can move on.

Aren't you long past that point?

There are always signs when best friends (in a tag team)are going to turn on each other.

There are always multi man tag matches before a ppv so that the money feud doesn't get the payoff until the ppv

If someone who has a scheduled match on the PPV has a random match against a top tier opponent (who they're not facing in the PPV), the PPV opponent is going to interfere

This is precisely why the "resets" like after Mania are usually the most interesting, because the storylines can go anywhere.

Re: The 2018 Pro Wrestling Thread.

Pretty excited for this weekend. Have been laying low on watching wrestling (except for Lucha Underground) for a while so I didn't burn myself out before it even started.

Friday - Impact vs. LU
Saturday - Takeover (which is usually the best part of the weekend)
Sunday - the best looking Wrestlemania card in at least 3 years.

Gonna be awesome.

Re: The 2018 Pro Wrestling Thread.

Is the Impact vs Lucha Underground card going to be subjected to the bullshit rules that the local commission established last week?

I'm not sure, but I'm sure that Pentagon and Jeremiah Crane don't give a fuck.

Looks like Bobby Fish is out with a torn ACL. Sucks as I'm loving The Undisputed Era. O'Reilly will be good on his own but he and Fish work so well together.

Re: The 2018 Pro Wrestling Thread.

I'm excited about my first Wrestlemania & Mania Week! Taking a red-eye flight tomorrow evening out to New Orleans.

I'll be attending (at the moment) 11 shows over the weekend, starting on Thursday. Thinking about adding another 2 but I'm unsure at the moment.

I also managed to score tickets to Pro Wrestling Guerrilla: All Star Weekend 14 (Night 1 & 2)! That was a small miracle.

These will make up 2 of the final 3 shows at the American Legion Hall in Reseda, CA before the promotion makes its venue change.

Re: The 2018 Pro Wrestling Thread.

It may be just on my end, but I think this has been the worst buildup for WrestleMania that I can remember. Between all the pointing of the sign to John Cena whining and crying every week, it's been nerve racking to say the least.

I am looking forward to Sunday. It should be a lot of fun.

Re: The 2018 Pro Wrestling Thread.

I had cancelled my network subscription after the royal rumble and i just got an email this morning thanking me for subscribing again. I was probably going to subscribe again this weekend for WM but it still kind of weird that it happened without me doing anything.
